Where Do I begin? So much has happened with my journey with House Of Engines. I'd just like to share my experience in hopes that it will prevent others having to go through what I had to, and get some justice for those of us in which whom had to go through. My story sounds just like all the others. They picked up my car, I gave $500 deposit. I was promised my engine to be replaced along with warranty. All to be done in 2 weeks. It's 2 weeks later, and I haven't heard anything. They were just about to call me [yea right].

They explained to me what was going on and how much more I had to pay, and it would be ready in a few days. I would call every 2 to 3 days, and there was always a delay. The told me a couple times it would be ready that afternoon. So I got a ride, and traveled the 60 miles it took to get there. When I got there my car was parked in the lot, hood open, and all the wires hanging outside the car, no engine in sight. AND!!! My car had a Huge Dent & Scratches on the side that was not there when I took it to them. They gave me a bunch of excuses why the car wasn't ready, and how I should have called first.

Granted they promised it would be ready that afternoon which was a Saturday and since they are closed Sunday I went to get my car, because I needed it for work. Which I lost my job, due to transportation issues. My job was very understanding, but after 6 week's of missing work dealing with House Of Engine's they weren't understanding at all. When my car finally was ready I went to pick it up. I addressed the issue with the dent & scratches [thankfully I had taken pics of the car prior on there tow truck] they tried acting as if they didn't know what happened.

Finally I asked if they could take the money for the damages off what I owed my answer was a flat out NO! NO? But they would have the damages fixed. In my head I'm thinking I'm not fooling around with you people any further. Mentally I was completely depleted. But now I have my car back, and everything is okay right???WRONG!!!! My car starts to overheating on the way home. Call them have the car towed back to them at my expense.

They do not know what is wrong with it, and can't help. Now the warranty is voided, because it over heated. They set you up so that the warranty is automatically voided. There also wasn't very much oil in the car. To this day the car overheats I'm out close to 3k, and no means of transportation. No job either. A TOTAL BAIT & SWITCH! I hear that they do this all the time, because they always win in court.
