got an email from this outfit and replied. they ask you some sensitive inforamtion which I provided, tehy confirmed my information, then told me for a $1 I could get the report, not free as pitched. so to give them the dollar you need to provide credit card and in small print in a different location it says by doing this you agree to be charged 30.00 per month for ongoing reports to the same credit card unless you call and cancel within 7 days. so it a buck, no big deal, just agreivates me that these sites exist.

This site you mentioned "FreeScore360" appears to be one of many sites run by Experian, Transunion and Experian to get you to provide your cc number so they can charge a monthly fee for a score that is not a FICO score that lenders use. It is a 'consumer score for educational purposes only'. If you go to the bottom of the webpage on the site you see a partial list of companies but you have to click through to a secondary page to see the rest of the 36 names that try to capture your money monthly by the same company with different web addresses! Be careful. In my opinon it is very distasteful for the CRA's to mislead the consumer in this manner.
You did the right thing by passing up the chance to spend money for a score that has no meaning and then posting the warning here.
