Hummer, GM, And Hummer Of Mahwah 24 Hour Road Side Assistance Mahwah New Jersey

On 7/07 a New H3 Hummer was bought at Hummer of Mahwah Route 17 North. This was not our first Hummer, but our second one and it will be the last one. Like our first one H2, this H3 has problems also. As of this writing today 1/6/08 our H3 has only 1.757 miles on it,that's not much at all for any vehicle.And it has NEVER been driven offroad.

On 1/4/08 while driving home normally,with no rain,no snow,clear, dry roads a vehicle warning appeared on the DIC (drivers information center) that is on the dashboard. This was "service 4wd traction failed-service stability system". I immediately contacted OnStar to run a diagnostic check to verify this condition,they did,but they did not know what caused it, they said it was ok to drive and said it was NOT a major severe problem. I was close to home so I drove it home.

I contacted the dealer, Hummer of Mahwah (service department) where it was purchased explained what occured,when,where,etc. I was told this was NOT a major problem and to bring it in for service. Well I said I don't want to drive it to the dealership to cause any more damage that might have been done already to the vehicle. They said ok and gave me a 24 Hour toll free number from Hummer 1-866-Hummer-6 to call for 24 Hour Emergency road side assistance.This service was included in the purchase of the Hummer.

Well I called this "so called alledged" 24 Hour number on Friday 1/4/08 and got nothing, only a recording saying "SERVICE NOT AVAILABLE" I called for 5 hours every half hour from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Saturday 1/5/08 I called the dealer to tell them about this they said it was not their problem,only to keep trying. So I tried all day 1/5/08 again and got nothing but the same stupid recording. I tried Sunday 1/6/08 still got nothing but the same recording. It seems obvious that this 24 Hour Emergency number is only a Monday -Friday 9 to 5 number as of this writing I still have not got thru. Just another lie by Hummer. I am glad I was not far from home, I just can imagine what would have happened if I really did need this service.
