I CAN'T BELIEVE HOW THEY TREATED ME. I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT THEY TOLD ME NO RETURN ON A DESK THAT I BOUGHT 3 DAYS EARLIER. I DIDN'T PUT THE DESK TOGETHER OR ANYTHING. I JUST OPENED THE BOX LOOKED INSIDE. LATER THAT DAY I TOLD MY ROOMMATE ABOUT THE DESK AND SINCE MY ROOMMATE WAS GETTING ANOTHER DESK FROM HIS FRIEND FOR FREE I DECIDED THAT I DIDN'T NEED THE IKEA DESK. I CANT BELIEVE THAT THEY TOLD ME TO GET OUT OF THE STORE AND NEVER COME BACK. WHAT KIND OF A STORE IS THIS THAT TREATS THEIR CUSTOMERS LIKE GARBAGE.
PLEASE DO YOURSELF A HUGE FAVOR AND STAY AWAY FROM IKEA.

that is considered retail fraud, and you can go to jail for that!
I seriously doubt they told the original poster to leave their store and never come back unless they were screaming &/or swearing at the employees.

You should have broke the desk and then taken it back for a refund as by law they cannot sell you damaged merchandise unless it is stated on the box!
