I saw IMG's ad on Craigslist about hiring entry-level marketing reps. I looked on heir website and thought it looked legitimate so I applied and immediately got a call back. I drove in from out of town for a "preliminary interview" that they said would just be a quick 5-6 minute meeting.

I got a bad first impression the second I walked through the door because the office was simply a waiting room with 8 chairs and a receptionist. Nothing on the walls. No company logo sign. Nothing implying that you were interviewing for an impressive company. The receptionist didn't even ask for my name but immediately hands me a questionnaire and paper work to fill out. (*Be aware that they ask for your Social Security Number right off the bat) So, I sat in the sterile waiting room with 4 other canidates also waiting to be interviewed.

I finally got called back. First thing he asked me after we shook hands was "how soon can you start?" (red flag, he didn't even challenge me or my competence) He never came out with a straight forward answer about what the position entailed and what your job would consist of. I finally was able to get him to tell me that it was a commission based salary and that they treated you as an "entrepreneur" (which implied no benefits).

He said that "if" I passed this interview, they would call me back that evening to arrange for a second interview which would be a full day (7:30-6). He said I would shadow a person and that is when I could see what the job would be like.

He bragged about having big "clients" such as the Atlanta Braves and Papa Johns. However, all this company does is sell coupons for these companies. They do not market. Don't waste your time because you'll basically be a door to door salesman working 6 days a week.

I Would File Charges On Them

Sounds like to me this was nothing nmore than a glorified FRAUD to STEAL PEOPEL'S IDENTITY and that the district attorney's office and the police need to be told about that these clowns are doing.

Maybe this could be construed as a company of interest to Homeland Security and needs to be reported to them ---after all, they are stealing people's identity and financial information and could use them to get credit cards in your names.

Also, I would advise the three credit reporting companies to let them know your identity has been compromised and to flag your accounts for FRAUDULENT activity and renew it every year you can.

People who prey upon the UNEMPLOYED and UNDEREMPLOYED and DESPARATE SHOULD BE PUT IN A FEDERAL PRISON FOR LIFE WITH NO PAROLE!

SPORTS MARKETING???what a joke!!

This guy is totally right...i fell for the add which careerbuilder insists on posting week in and week out...it is a mid-level-marketing scheme and you will be walking around illegally soliciting businesses in an attempt to sell coupons. It is totally bogus!! The "sports marketing" claim they use consists of local (atlanta brave, thrashers, etc.) team ticket packet you try to sell. We also had meineke, health spa, and other kinds of coupons like that....The "level two" moron I was "training" with actually told people we were with the Atlanta Braves...this company needs to be sued.
