I feel like such a fool. I went to the 3 day workshop expecting to learn more about real estate investing. I was stupid enough to buy the real estate investing classes (they threw in the stock investing classes).

I tried their software for investing which was not anything I would use and they charge you on your credit card every month (depending on what you want the software to include). We were promised a lot more at the workshop than what they deliver. We were supposed to get coaching, foreclosure information, etc. We were called shortly after signing up and offered the coaching (seems that's not included in the fees we already paid). The webinars have way too many technical difficulties/the instructors do not always show up, etc.

We were told there would be an Asset Protection Class in Las Vegas every month. There was one going on the weekend we were in the workshop (end of March) and the only one scheduled since then was in October. We were not able to get to that one because of so little notice. They don't know when they will be scheduling another one.

During the webinars there were a lot of people that are having the same problems as us and as some of the other reports that have been filed about them. Our complaints go on deaf ears. Several people have tried unsuccessfully to get refunds.

They have scheduled VERY FEW live classes in the last few months. I was trying to recoup some of my money by at least being able to attend the live real estate investing classes which I've already paid for; however, they don't have any scheduled right now.

I did have a GREAT tax liens coach. That has been the best part of this disaster. As great as it was, it wasn't worth the whole fee. Nothing else has been worth much.

I don't know what we can do but maybe if all of us got together we could make them responsible. Guess I have to chalk it up to LESSON LEARNED!!! I try to tell everyone to stay away from them.

#4 Consumer Suggestion

You should feel like a fool.

AUTHOR: Sasha - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, February 17, 2008

Here are a few things I would like to suggest to those who are having a 'hard time' with ISI/GRSR:

1. When you sign a contract, you agree to the terms. The terms are clearly stated on each contract.
You have three business days to cancel and receive a refund. If you wait until after those three days, you will not get a refund. Pretty simple.
You might also have checked the "yes" box for the real estate toolbox website. If so, after thirty days you will be charged $59.95/month for the service.
Contracts do not care if you "didn't realize that you checked that box," or if "nobody told you that you only had three days." It is YOUR fault. YOU signed it. Nobody forced you, nobody "tricked" you. The fact of the matter is, you had a choice, and you clearly chose to sign up for something you couldn't pay for and then thought, "oh if I change my mind, I'll just back out." Educate yourself on Contract Law, please.
2. Ever wonder why everybody who complains on here mentions that they are disputing with their credit card company, or have disputed, and the cc company isn't investigating, or that ISI/GRSR won? Hmm wonder why that is happening? oh. maybe its because of the CONTRACT.
3. ISI/GRSR offers 'Customer Service' not 'Customer Support.' They are not there to make YOU money. They are there to answer questions you have about classes, procedures, contact information, etc.
4. As with any company, you cannot call and speak with the company owner. For those of you who complain about not being able to talk to Sidney, you're ridiculous and obviously think you are much more important than you are.
5. The sales people on the road are ON THE ROAD. They are not in the corporate office. For you to call in and request to speak with them is assanine. If they haven't already given you their personal number, they obviously do not want to talk to you. Who do you think you are?
6. When you sign the contract, you agree to the cancellation terms. These clearly state that you will be required to send a cancelltion letter via certified mail within three business days of signing the contract. If you feel that you wont be able to comply with these terms, don't sign the contract. You also agree to accept that any refund will take 15-30 BUSINESS days to process. Don't whine about the interest on your credit card and say that the company isnt giving you your money back. Sit down, shut up, and wait until the terms that YOU AGREED TO are fulfilled.
7. Lots of people send letters to the BBB and the Attorney General and their Lawyers. You are not the first and you do not scare the company with your empty threats.

Have a lovely day.

#2 Consumer Suggestion

If any of the victims is interested in a civil law suit against ISI...

AUTHOR: California Consumer - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, October 15, 2007

I am one of the victims by ISI's fraudulent business practice. I am still trying to fight them back and get my money back. I tried to file a dispute to the charge that ISI charged on my credit card, but the credit card sided with ISI even without a signed contract from me. I am planning to write the credit card company and file a "claim & defenses" dispute for the service that I never received from ISI. However, I am still planning to sue this company and get my money back. There are too many victims already (this company is only 2 years old) and no one has ever try to fight them back. I think ISI realizes this and will just keep trying to rip hard-working consumers off by repeating the same fraudulent business practice. I need more people with me to teach them a lesson and tell them that they cannot just walk away with our money. Please contact Ed if you are interested in joining pursuing this route. Thanks.
