I ordered custom printed hoodies from directcotton.com on 8/26/08 and paid $2,400.00 via paypal.They told me to forward the artwork, which I did. They told me on 8/28/08 that they had problems with the art and to resend it, which I did.:

"For some reason I can't open those ai files to get a proof to you. Are the ai files for mac? if so I need them for pc. If they are pc I am not sure why they won't open. Is there away that you can possibly save them as a eps, png or pdf? if you can please resend them."

I followed up with an email and have had no further response or contact with them since then.

I repeatedly called and emailed multiple times on 8/29, 9/2, 9/3, & 9/4. Still I have had no repsonse from them as of this website

Their website states the following policy on http://www.directcotton.com/general/what-are-your-business-hours-2.html: "Whether you phone us or email, one of our customer service representatives will get back to you within 24 business hours (Monday through Friday 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM)."

There websites also states that http://www.directcotton.com/general/what-should-i-expect-for-print-production-and-delivery.html: "What should I expect for print production and delivery?" "All orders go into production immediately upon receipt of your order. Your order will generally ship within 5-7 business days from receipt of your order. In some cases, because we use multiple shifts, your order may ship sooner than 5-7 days"

However, the most concerning thing to me was that earlier today, due to their lack of response, I did some research on the internet and found that they were linked to a website called: www.inkontees.com.

Please compare: www.inkontees.com vs. ww.directcotton.com
They are the EXACT same website except for the color.
Then go to www.ripoffreport.com. Type in ink on tees and read. There are over 16 complaints and they sound exactly like my experience.

I understand that there are companies out there that are not reputable but what REALLY UPSETS me is that paypal does business with them. I was willing to pay upfront because I was paying using paypal and believed that they represented reputable companies and provided buyer protection. I filed the dispute with paypal.

I finally received the 200 hoodies I ordered. I got them 9/17/08. It took time, persistence, and followup but in all honesty, they look better than I thought they would. High quality product. I wish the process of obtaining them could have been smoother.

One misleading comment after another.

Mike keeps offering me promised completion dates, promises of tracking numbers, followed by misleading or incorrect tracking numbers, poor follow up and a whole boatload of excuses. I had to call with a friends phone (inkontees telephone number) in order to get a live person to answer me and thus avoid the answering machine.

Now 9/16/08. Shirts ordered/invoiced Aug 26th. Nothing yet. I will keep updated until I get the product.

Directcotton.com finally returned my call but ONLY AFTER I CANCELLED PAYPAL

After many, many calls and emails, I finally got a response and he stated they had a mandatory evacuation due to Gustav Here is response:

Also we see that you placed a complaint with PayPal. Is there a way you can cancel that complaint, knowing that we had to evacuate the city and no means of email or phones to contact you prior?
Again we deeply apologize for this inconvience and will get your order on track first thing Monday morning.
