these clowns run an emergency roadside service in northern virginia, washington dc, and maryland.  mike inman isnt man enough to show his face, instead he sends shitty text messages to his drivers and hidees behind a text message.  They took money out of my check with no notice, didnt ask for my side of the story, never gave me any notice and didnt have any proof of any damage.  This should be illegal.  They promise the world and can't even deliver the money they promise.  When its slow you make just enough to put gas in your car.  the manager carries a gun.  wtf?  That says it all.  Stay away!!

#2 UPDATE EX-employee responds

Seriously, Treat your employees as the hard working men they are!

AUTHOR: RoadsideTechDude - (USA)

POSTED: Tuesday, March 03, 2015

I am an ex-employee (as they like it to label it... "subcontractor") of Auto Rescue. I am now the owner of my own roadside assistance company. Auto Rescue is parasitic to the industry. They treat their people like crap.

When you first start with them, they label you as a subcontractor. This is for insurance and liability reasons. The like to have an "escape" route set-up in case of legally issues. However, if one was to read the exact meaning of a subcontractor, as the Federal Government defines it, one would see that they are not, by definition, "subcontractors".

AR, tells their drivers what to do, how to do it, when to do it, and if their "rules" are not followed to the T, they "bench" you. Meaning that they will not give you anymore calls until they decide you've been "punished" enough. This is not a subcontractor.

Coming into this business, as an owner, I have retained the correct insurances, licenses, and follow all State and Federal laws. AR, does not. They have a generic insurance policy that allows them to do business with the insurance companies. However, they do not insure the actual vehicles that are used to provide services, because the vehicles are owned by the "subcontractors". The "subcontractors" pay their own insurance (personal policies, not commercial, in most cases) fuel, vehicle maintanence and purchase their own tools.

This allows AR to drop their rates to a gross level, making it impossible for businesses like mine to grow. So why should we suffer for doing what is legal, morally right, and honest?! We shouldn't.

Mike Inman sits on his lazy behind and makes FREE money off of the backs of his "subcontractors". He makes COLD cash for nothing!

The crazy thing is that, in the insurance company contracts, explictly state that "subcontractors" are not allowed. Yet he gets away with it anyway.

As for me...

I will always treat my EMPLOYEES with courtesy, respect, and dignity!

I will PROPERLY insure, license, and maintain the vehicles I provide my EMPLOYEES!

I will provide a SAFE service to my customers, without a FIREARM!

I will grow, I will succeed, I WILL stop parasites like Mike Inman.

Mike Inman WILL know me and will know every law he violates by heart, after hearing them read off to him by a Judge.

LEGALLY, through our Legal System, Mike Inman and I WILL have a proper introduction, VERY SOON!

#1 UPDATE Employee

Jeff being the bad guy?

AUTHOR: Dispatcher - (United States of America)

Okay so I understand you are upset about having money taken out of your check but let me explain how this works.

When you are hired, you are informed of the risk of this exact thing happening and the way they do it is designed to HELP YOU!

When you do damage to a customers vehicle, Auto Rescue gets a damage claim from the customers insurance, they fight it out and if Auto Rescue is found liable for the repairs, they pay the entire amount and take it out of your paycheck little by little instead of YOU being taken to court and YOU having to come up with it all at once.
Yes I agree you should have been notified before it started happening and they should of told you WHAT vehicle you damaged and when.

As far as Jeff having a gun..Are you really saying its a bad thing?!?!?!
We provide roadside assistance to people we don't know, at all hours of the day and night, you really think we don't come across some crazy people sometimes?!?!? I have had MULTIPLE drivers SHOT at while they were at a call so I completely agree with being armed!

Having a gun doesn't make you a bad manager so I'm not sure what the point was of adding that in here!
Speak the WHOLE truth not just a little tid bit of information.
