Dr. Gant is back to his scams. His medical license was suspended in New York when he engaged in medical misconduct including fraud and negligence. He is now practicing in Washington, DC, where he misdiagnoses his patients in order to charge them large sums if money for unnecesary tratments.

Correcting the Record On Dr. Charles Gant

AUTHOR: Greg - (USA)

POSTED: Saturday, August 13, 2016

It sounds as though this erroneous critique of Dr. Charles Gant and International Precision Medicine Associates was posted by a person named Stephen Barrett or one of his associates. Let me give you some background on Barrett which also reflects on the associate of Barrett's who may have posted this misinformation.

In order to attack legitimate doctors, Barrett started a website called Quackwatch.com. Quackwatch.com is devoted to undermining any medical doctor who has the courage to apply proven new diagnosis and treatment methods that go against what the medical establishment regards as established science. In other words, if you successfully use new diagnosis and treatment methods that go against what the establishment insists is the “right way” to practice medicine, then Quackwatch will make sure you don’t go unattacked.

Quatchwatch.com founder Stephen Barrett is a medical-doctor wannabe who went to medical school but was unable to pass his medical board exams. Even though he is not licensed to practice medicine, Barrett has added the initials M.D. after his name in several instances. When they wouldn’t let him practice medicine, Barrett decided to join with the American Medical Association (AMA) and the pharmaceutical industry in order to destroy the reputations of doctors who are leading the way with new and more effective medical practices.

Before I give you more information about Barrett, first let me correct the false information in the posted critique. Dr. Gant never engaged in medical misconduct. He never engaged in fraud. He never engaged in negligence. In the case brought against him in New York, so many of his patients testified on his behalf and so weak was the evidence brought against him that the state of New York dropped all medically related charges and saved face by finding him guilty on a minor charge associated with medical records keeping. His license was suspended for six months, even though there was not a single account of any medical malpractice issue whatsoever.

It's actually Barrett himself who is more likely to be convicted of fraud. In one of the many lawsuits that have been filed against him, Barrett admitted in court that the only purpose of his company, Barrett & Baratz, was “to discredit and cause damage and harm to health care practitioners, businesses that make alternative health therapies or products available, and advocates of [unconventional] therapies and health freedom.” Barrett’s work was found “biased and unworthy of credibility” in a 2007 court hearing. Although Barrett has filed defamation lawsuits against some 40 people, he has not won a single case that has come to trial.

In addition to publishing arguably libelous material, Barrett has come out against genetic testing as unnecessary and ineffective, despite the fact that Dr. Gant and other forward-looking physicians have demonstrated that this new approach to medicine greatly improves the accuracy and effectiveness of physicians’ ability to diagnose illnesses and predict the likelihood of future illnesses in their patients.

Being attacked by Quackwatch and by people like the one who posted this critique is nothing less than a badge of honor for physicians who are opening the way for improving the quality and effectiveness of medical care for Americans.
