I had a terrible experience with Interstate Moving and Relocation Group. They 'brokered' for me a deal where I was ultimately charged x6 more than their price estimate. I specifically told them to find me a company I can pay by credit card. No problem they told me.
The day of the move I was forced to pay for everything cash upfront at a total x6 more than I expected. And then when everything went wrong Interstate Moving and Relocation Group was absolutely nowhere to be found. I could not reach them by phone, text or email. They are supposed to work on my behalf with the moving company.
I did everything myself. I worked with the terrible moving company All State Movers they set me up with. I couldn't get any answers from anybody. I did not get my stuff until over 3-weeks later. By which time I was in much hardship literally buying new clothes to stay presentable at my new job. And when my stuff finally did arrive there was broken and missing things.
When I contacted Interstate Moving and Relocation Group they were absolutely unhelpful not returning my correspondence, giving me wrong information and ultimately not helping me recover any of my lost or damaged property.
This is a very disreputable business.
I am more than happy to verify my purchase receipt and supply a ton of irrefutable evidence that everything I write is absolutely the truth intended to protect other consumers. Don't believe the fake reviews.

You Don't Need A Broker

The only duty a broker has is to find you a mover. If the move goes badly, and it often does, they have no responsibility back to you as the customer because their duty is done when the mover is selected. They aren't a liaison in the general sense.
The other really good reason why using a broker is bad is because the movers a broker will generally get for you are so incompetent, that they can't get regular business on their own. You know, like a 0-1 star mover. Brokers are also under no obligation to cater to your requests. None of their movers will ever take a credit card, for example, because they're so bad they'd rather get cash or a cashier's check.
They know you'll dispute the bill so they don't bother with taht form of payment. To be truthful though, no mover in Florida will take a credit card - you chose a broker and then a mover from the scam mover capital of the world - Florida.
Consumers should AVOID all moving brokers. They provide no service you could not do on your own, for which you will eventually pay the broker to find you a terrible mover. There is no guilt, no shame, or anything else involved. Once they get you a mover, the broker walks away. If I had the choice between a DIY move with a U-haul and a mover I find on the internet, I'll take the U-Haul and do it myself. Economically, it might cost me more in terms of time and energy. However, l would do a better job.
Moving is not inexpensive. Stay off the internet when finding a mover. Never select a mover located in Florida - unless you happen to be in Florida and only then choose someone not on the internet. A legit mover will charge you maybe 5X-6X the cost of what you were originally quoted from the scam mover, because the scam mover lures you in with the low price and once the mover has you, the con starts, and the worst part is - it's all legal.
