Customer service was fast and friendly when soliciting my business.

I entered into a contract for a 20' container load from the California to China because I was told a full container load would take about 4-5 weeks while waiting for a consolidated shipment would take 8 weeks.

After the actual pick-up happened, I did not hear from them for 2 weeks only to be told there were additional charges for packing and a "general rate increase". The additional charges added up to $900. I was also told if I did not pay up within 48 hours my shipment would be placed on hold and incur even more additonal charges.

After payment was made, I was advised by Intlmove another week later that the earliest shipping time would be in 6 weeks with an estimated time of arrival in Shanghai 3 months after my initial pick-up date.

They have all my household goods, I am stuck in a foreign country without recourse and I do not know if they will slap me with "warehousing fees" at the moment. Customer service has stopped responding to emails and turned everything over to the Operations Department.

At this point the additonal charges are the least of my worries. I have to make living arrangements for a move that has gone from 4-5 weeks to 3 months now and there is nothing I can do about it.

Stay away from this company for goodness sake! You will regret ever having dealt with them!

I DONT KNOW HOW TO FIND THE WRITER OF THIS COMPLAINT, SO I'M HOPING THAT BY MAKING A COMMENT HERE THAT YOU WILL RESPOND TO IT. MY NAME IS STEPHANIE CLARK, I USED INTLMOVE IN OCTOBER 2008. I HAVE A VERY LONG STORY REGARDING MY EXPERIENCE WITH THEM. I'M CURRENTLY IN CLOSE COMMUNICATION WITH THE FMC AS THEY ARE INVESTIGATING THE COMPANY. I'M ALSO PURSUING A COMPLAINT WITH THE FLORIDA ATTORNEY GENERAL. I HAVE ASKED THE FMC TO PROVIDE ME A LIST OF PEOPLE WHO HAVE COMPLAINED ABOUT THIS COMPANY, BUT WHEN MY FOIA WAS BEING PROCESSED I WAS TOLD IT WOULD TAKE A VERY LONG TIME AND IT WOULD COST ME A LOT OF MONEY TO OBTAIN NAMES. I WAS ALSO TOLD THAT THE FMC WOULD NEED TO CONTACT ALL THOSE THAT HAVE COMPLAINED ABOUT THIS COMPANY TO GET APPROVAL OF THEIR INFORMATION TO BE SHARED WITH ME. I WOULD LIKE TO GET IN CONTACT WITH OTHER CUSTOMERS OF INTLMOVE WHOM HAVE HAD SIMILAR HORRIBLE EXPERIENCES AS WELL AS ADDITIONAL COSTS AND PROMISES NOT KEPT SO THAT WE AS A GROUP CAN MOVE FORWARD AND POSSIBLY HAVE A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT. Hi
I am not connected with INTLmove in any way - except for the fact that I have, or rather currently a victim of their practices. Hindsight is a wonderful thing and I thank you for your report - yet blame myself for not seeing this BEFORE i hired their services.

Right now, as I mentioned, my shipping is being held hostage. I'm not sure if this is something you have pursued but, this time they have really picked on the wrong person. I am currently gathering initial information to prepare a case against INTLMove, no holds barred.

Can you tell me if you actually received your belongings or not.
