I hired IPM-Corp aka Tonsofrentals.com to do some property management of a home I own in North Carolina. They are a management company collecting rents, working with the renter , for a fee basis.
They have on repeated occasions sent me bills for repairs that were severely inflated or unauthorized and not needed. IPM-Corp recently sent me a bill for $180.00 to replace a standard $2.00 outlet billing me for 3.5 hours of labor!!!!! They also billed me for touching up a spot on the ceiling no bigger than a quarter. This was not a leak but a stain I caused when I dropped some food and missed the spot!
The other time they charged me nearly $100 for picking up a few tree branches that fell in the yard after a storm, less than 5 minutes work!
I come to find out the contracted repair company is owned by them! Mr. Kit Garren. I called and emailed and they do not respond. I feel they need to be investigated by other owners and it would reveal a pattern of inflating bills for work not done or needed. I have sent complaints to the BBB, the North Carolina Real Estate Board, and the Attorney General of NC.
