Isaacs Moving - JohnDalzall Worse experience we have ever had. Stoughton, massachusetts

In a sentence, run do not walk away from this company. If possible get your brother-in-law and a pickup truck, as more care would be provided to your belongings.

We were relocating from Massachusetts to North Carolina and we thought we would use Angie’s list, where we found Isaac’s , after all they had a great rating. The rating did not tell the whole story, not by a long shot.

The night before the furniture was to arrive in NC we got a call from Isaac’s that my husband’s beloved motorcycle had a broken brake lever and that the driver would bring a replacement part. Although not happy, we never could not have imagined just how bad the damage to the bike would turn out to be.

When they pulled up and my husband took a look at the bike, he was horrified, the damage was so extensive; it looked as though the bike had been dropped several times on each side!  They had strapped the bike to the inside of the trailer not to a pallet on the floor.

My husband contacted John Dalzell, the general manager, he said we would have to get a damage appraisal at our cost. We found a dealership and they had to come and get the bike, appraise it and return to us, on our dime!

Well, the frame damage was so sever e that the bike was totaled by our insurance company.

If that wasn’t stressful enough, we found out that Isaac’s had double billed us for the move! Here we were unable to use our account, living off credit cards and sweating out whether the bogus held monies would be released before the bills started hitting the account! Isaac’s answer;   ‘sorry but there isn’t anything we can do’, an indication of things to come.

My husband spent hours putting together and faxing all sorts of information to Dalzell with the understanding that he would help us be reimbursed, turned out to be just ‘busy’ work for my husband as Isaac’s had no intention to reimburse us. In fact it was our insurance company that did so. We then went after Isaacs for the $500 insurance deductible, it was denied as the bike was over five years old, totally nonsensical.  We will continue to pursue this through every channel we can find.

One other important thing, do not buy the additional insurance unless you have a receipt for every one of your possessions.  Total  chicanery on their part, as they make no mention of it when pitching it to the customer. For example : we had several pieces of furniture that were damaged some, and they were gifts given to us , others a few years old and we were told that they would not even review without said receipts!

In summary, we wish that we never hired this company and we sincerely hope that others will learn from our situation and find a more honorable company.

I espect that Dazell will  post our here trying to discredit me and make him and his company out as the victim. Perhaps if he did a better job managing he would not feel the need to troll all the consumer sites posting rebuttals.
