J & M Audio Purchased a Bluetooth Motorcycle headset from this company, and it will not communicate with my Garmin GPS. The company faults Garmin, but the GPS works fine with other brands of headsets. Will not allow me to return for a refund, because I do not have original packaging, which was not sent with the item. This company installed the item in my helmet, and did not send any packaging when they shipped my helmet back to me. Tucson Arizona

I did not use the Bluetooth Headset with my smart phone for any length of time, and the only reason I even tried it to see if it would work with it is because you suggested it. The main reason for having a Bluetooth Headset in your helmet is for using it with your GPS, not for use with your cell phone. You just have a hard time admitting that your device does not work, while a lot of your competitions devices do work, and work very well. And I've been using Bluetooth devices for a long time, and this is the first time I've ever had a problem with any two devices not communicating properly.
I've just chalked it up to experience and come to the conclusion that your company has no customer service, regardless as to what you keep ranting.

Michael ,,,,,,,
my response is the same each time because the TRUE story behind this is also the same ,,,,, YOU are the one changing the story and making mistatements ,,,,
you used the J&M Bluetooth headset successfully for quite some time when linked direct to your SmartPhone ,,,,,
when you had trouble linking to YOUR particular Zumo GPS unit, you sent us the headset for our evaluation and testing ,,,,,,
we found nothing wrong, but replaced the unit for you anyway ,,,,, even though it worked fine with our own Garmin Zumo units that we have at our factory in Tucson ,,,,
not all Bluetooth devices work perfectly with all other Bluetooth devices out there ,,,,, everyone knows that ,,,,
not sure what else to say ,,,,,,

John, the president of J & M sends the same response everytime. It must be a form letter he has on his computer. This product did not work from day 1, but you need to have original packaging in order to do a return, something they did not send me when they installed my headsets. This is a convienient way to avoid having to do returns.
He says that all Bluetooth devices do not work with each other. If this is fact, then it needs to be in their advertising, stating this. He blames Garmin for something that is definately a problem with J & M's product.
This companies customer service is terrible, and I would recommend you use caution if and when doing business with them.

Bluetooth Helmet Headset Issues

The J&M two-year warranty is in full force and effect for Mr Hildebrand’s J&M Corporation brand Bluetooth helmet headset.
After Mr Hildebrand’s first complaint of operation, the unit was replaced even though no defect was found.
Bluetooth devices by their very nature can be complex, and not all Bluetooth devices work perfectly with all others.
Mr Hildebrand’s J&M Bluetooth headset for instance, works very well when linked directly to his smart-phone, but evidently not very well when linked to his current Garmin Zumo GPS unit, even though it did work properly with both of J&Ms Zumo550 and Zumo665 when the unit was restested at our factory in Tucson.
