I found out about this company on craigslist for baltimore, maryland. I contacted andrew thomas the ower to inquire about my 93 ford explorer being fixed. he came to the location of the truck to diagnose my trucks problem. he told me that the Master cylinder was the problem and told me it would cost $525.00 to fix. I payed him for the repair and he was scheduled to fix the truck the following day at the location of my choice because the truck could not be moved and he offers a mobile repair service. they never completed my repair. they moved the car from were it was parked safely for weeks and never put it back. they left it in an alley in downtown baltimore after i told them that the car had to be returned to it's previous location or it would be ticketed ot towed. he disregarded what i told him and the vehicle got a ticket. He offered to pay the ticket or credit it to my repair and was schedule to finish repairs the next day.

he never showed at all, he never answers the phone if he thinks its me, he took my money and didn't repair my car, he cause my car to get a ticket, offerd to make things right and then i never heard from him again.

I have filed in small claims court and i am open to anyone who can help.

If they have scamed you too post a report, print out copies of others they have SCAMED, take him to court, DO NOT LET THEM GET AWAY WITH DOING THIS.
THEY USE CRAIGSLIST TO SCAM PEOPLE, AND I HAVE FOUND OTHERS!!

AUTHOR: Jac Automotive - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, February 21, 2009

When we met, I looked over your 1993 Ford Explorer and told you that your clutch Master Cylinder was bad. I said this due to the fact that the seals were worn out on it, and causing it not to function properly ( it was not pulling fluid from the reservoir). I also informed you that your Slave cylinder could also be bad. Since there is not way to tell until I had a properly functioning Master Cylinder to diagnosis the Slave Cylinder. I also asked if you could call the company that replaced your clutch a year ago and see if the work is still warrantied, and to ask if they replaced the slave cylinder. You did not call them. You only called them AFTER I did the work on your car.

You paid me $525.00 for parts and labor to replace the Clutch Master Cylinder, Front rotors, and front pads, knowing that you could potentially still have a clutch problem ( slave cylinder). I made that perfectly clear to you. In your original posting, you say that you paid me $525.00 and I did no repair???? How is that possible seeing that I left the old parts in your car for you to see? After replacing the Master Cylinder, it was evident that the slave cylinder was also bad. Since the new master cylinder was now pulling fluid from the reservoir, I could see that it was now leaking from the slave cylinder. I called you and informed you of this. Only then did you call the place that replaced your clutch and ask them if they replaced the slave cylinder. They said that they did, and that their is no warranty left on the work. I told you that I can order the part to fix it. You said you would need to call me back and let me know.

The car was left in an alley due to the fact that there just simply was just no parking left. It was parked directly behind a silver Dodge Caravan. You called me and told me that it got ticketed, and I said that I had no problem covering the cost of the ticket. I asked if you wanted it credited towards the bill or if you want cash. At that time you decided to go ahead with the repair and told me to just credit it to the bill. The next day, I called Advance and ordered the slave cylinder assembly for your car. They told me it could take up to two days to arrive. It was supposed to arrive on Thursday, but did not. You tried contacting me all day Thursday, but had no luck.

Friday morning I informed you that I did not have my phone for most of the day on Thursday. I was working on a V.W. Cabriot at the Laurel Marriott hotel. I left the phone on the hood of the car and test drove it. During that time, it fell off somewhere, and I didn't get it back till close to 11pm that night. Friday, I informed you that I would call you when the part came in. It still did not make it in. That's when you started calling me. At one point ( when you called my phone 5 times in a row ), I picked up and said I have to call you back in 10 minutes. I was under a truck trying to put a transmission in. I was to busy to talk. I forgot to give you a call, due to the fact I was wrapped up in something. I called you today and left you a message informing you that I will no longer be performing the repair on your Explorer.

I do not want your business, nor need it. I am trying to make an honest living and you accuse me of scamming people. I am not going to ruin my name over $525.00. It's just not worth it. I have been in business for 5 years, and you and one other character, are the only people to ever post negative replies about my company. I have thousands of satisfied customers, and am willing to prove it. Now, all I want to do it give you the $77.00 for the cost of the ticket. I will NOT be refunding any of the money for the repair that I did. That $525 was for master cylinder and brakes. You got those items put on your car. That repair was completed. The repair you did not get, was the one that you did not pay for. I only owe you $77 and would like to hear from you so I can give it to you. Any questions, give me a call or send me an e-mail. I tried calling you earlier, but you just picked up and hung up on me. I called back a second time, and you just let it go to voicemail. I left you a voicemail stating the same things I have posted here.
