Based on my dealings with Liberty Natural, this complaint is nonsense.

AUTHOR: Carole - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, June 13, 2009

My experiences with Liberty Natural (approximately 10 orders of varying products) have all been good. The company is an excellent retail supplier of essential oils and botanical concretes for my amateur natural perfume creations. Most retail suppliers of essential oils don't also supply botanical concretes, so this latter is a major plus. My contact with the staff has been limited to telephone inquiries, but they have always been extremely polite. They sent exactly what I ordered, and the product arrived well-packaged and intact.

I don't know this Hawk woman, or any of her various businesses, but I have a suggestion. Compare the complaints about Liberty Natural to the positive consumer comments about Sunrise Herb Farms. They are also written by a "Jack" from New York and someone who calls himself "Bob!" Also, the comments are linguistically similar -- they tend to be vague ad hominem attacks or praises that veer sharply off the material point of the review (e.g. Mr. Dierking's alleged labor problems, Ms. Hawk's alleged love of animals.) Also, the timing of these comments (coinciding with the litigation) is pretty strong circumstantial evidence that they were written by Ms. Hawk or one of her cohorts in retaliation for the lawsuit.

I once wrote a negative review of a well-known Chicago restaurant and I had to attest in about five different places that it was true. The Ripoff Report is, on the whole, a good service, but I'm pretty sure it was not intended to enable one business to disparage another.

There are BUGS he admits in his products-believe me the truth is out-he is one sly guy trying to make OTHERS look bad-he should look WITHIN

AUTHOR: Jack - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, March 29, 2009

PS Liberty Natural's supplier in court admits there are BUGS in his products I just read doubt he will be getting that GMP he bragged about above!
Liberty, his lawyer and his supplier ALL ADMIT in writing AND on the stand Liberty has major quality issues including bugs!? I couldn't believe it when I read that one...how totally gross is that???

I think Liberty barked up the wrong tree once again...his big mouth always gets him in trouble it appears!

ps the other guy is right-I read he has had many lawsuits and his employees and even his own WIFE have even gone after him like that other guy commented...His employee said they are also thinking of filing another complaint about him and he may even have new regulatory issues! This guy is so unprincipled he it says he even has a lawyer ( a man named Tim Vanagas ) who has been in serious trouble too and if he gets another complaint ( already had two AND a suspension I just read ) they say he could be disbarred!! This is his legal counsel??? A guy in legal trouble!? Now Dierking has caused him more problems too rumor has it...what a unreal group of people! Believe me folks-what you read about this guy is all true, he is no saint...

The Hard Earned Good Reputation of Liberty Natural Products, Inc. and James Dierking is being Ripped Off by this False Posting!

AUTHOR: Jim Dierking - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, March 09, 2009

The Hard Earned Good Reputation of Liberty Natural Products, Inc. and James Dierking is being Ripped Off by this False Posting!

To our knowledge there are only two negative postings on the internet regarding Liberty Natural Products, Inc. They are both Ripoff Reports # 425980 and #408898. To put this into perspective please consider the following facts. We have been in business since 1982, as an importer, distributor and producer of essential oils, botanicals and extracts. We were one of the early pioneers on the web initiating our first website in 1995. Our accumulated sales volume is approximately $45,000,000.00. We aspire to be a company of excellence and strive daily in processing each order to achieve that goal. When problems arise, we endeavor to timely and fairly resolve them, just as we would want for ourselves. Our reputation worldwide says that we have done a good job and we appreciate what our customers have done for us. We do very little advertising, primarily relying on the goodwill word of mouth referral of our customers.

The postings about us are not based on any legitimate complaints. We challenge the posters to reveal their identity and provide a factual basis for the postings. The postings are full of false statements, defamation and innuendo. We have reason to believe they may have been motivated by a civil action we filed for breach of contract against Valerie Hawk Hoffman, David Hoffman, Sunrise Herbal Remedies, Inc. Dissolved and Sage Advice of Palm Beach Inc. The suit, CV08030717 was filed in the Circuit Court of the State of Oregon for the County of Clackamas. We have also been subject to regulatory retribution promised by Valerie Hawk Hoffman. Fortunately, it actually helped us in getting assistance from the Oregon Department of Agriculture in working towards GMP certification for our production facilities. Please visit www.libertynatural.com/LibertyvSunrise.html for additional information on the civil matter or contact Jim Dierking, President of Liberty Natural Products, Inc. jim@libertynatural.com. 1-800-289-8427. We are interested in obtaining information on the business activities of the above parties from vendors, contractors, and consumers to aid us in our civil suit.

The above parties are also subject to an action by the State of Connecticut described by the links below..

Coincidentally, another vendor company involved in a disagreement with Sunrise Herbal Remedies, Inc, is Fantastibath, who also has been the recipient of several Ripoff Reports#187813 and #370863. Another coincidence is that both Fantastibath and Liberty Natural Products, Inc. had postings by Bob from Park City, Utah. Also the reports contain similar references to rashes, generalization of the poor quality of the products, and disparagement of the character of the owners. Lee Brown owner of Fantastibath in his rebuttals indicates he also believes the postings against him may have been made by the same party we've filed suit against.

We have requested that these malicious and damaging reports be removed by Ripoff Reports, but were told that barring an order of the Court they would not remove them.
We have submitted a rebuttal to these fraudulent reports in order to mitigate damages to our reputation and business.

We support free speech rights and the concept of empowerment of the public to air their grievances on the web. However, we feel with those rights come responsibilities. Particularly, by companies offering for profit remediation services for the effects of apparently unmonitored postings. When a company provides evidence of malicious and false postings and are informed that a disputed matter is under the jurisdiction of the court, we believe the hosting site should act responsibly and remove the defective postings. If Ripoff Reports is interested in truth and justice they will review their database and compare the email addresses relating to these postings, audit the content, and then wisely decide whether they want to help the consumer avoid ripoffs or aid and abet them.

The poster of this rebuttal does not agree that the posting of this rebuttal shall provide exclusive jurisdiction to the State of Arizona over any disputes arising out of this posting and takes exception to it's requirement to post.
