I went to a website that I thought was owned or sponsored by Sprint, (SprintTouch.net) and entered my phone number to see if ringtones were available for my phone. I immediately recieved two (2) text messages and one of which informed me that I would be charged $9.99 per month for the JAMSTER XXL PLAN. Nowhere on the this page or the ones that followed was there an indication of the pending charges by continuing. After recieving the text messages, I searched the web and found out about the scam these people run. I tried to call the customer sevice line at 1-866-856-5267 and it was alternately not able to be connected or ran off the wall till it disconnected. I finally tried the online chat, here is the text of that chat:

Mae: Welcome to our Jamster Service Chat!
If you have written a question, please give me a second to read it.
Bob Stahl: How do I assure that you will not ever charge me one dime?
Mae: Hi, Bob! Our products come in a package. This package, or monthly Plan, costs $9.99 every month,
Bob Stahl: I did not authorize any charges or text messages!
Mae: Please be reminded that the Plan and the monthly charges were indicated in our website. By submitting your cellphone number and the password you have received on your cellphone, you are agreeing to sign up to this Plan
Bob Stahl: NO I DID NOT!!! YOU WILL NOT CHARGE ME ONE DIME!!!
AND WHY DOES NO ONE ANSWER YOU CUSTOMER SERVICE PHONE NUMBER?
Mae: We apologize for any inconvenience. Your call has been put on queue as we are assisting other customers.
Bob Stahl: HAVE YOU CANCELLED MY ACCOUNT AND REMOVED ALL CHARGES???
IF NOT, DO IT NOW!!
Mae: We have now cancelled your Plan as you requested. However, we cannot directly reverse or remove the charge since we bill you through Sprint, and we do not have a direct access to their database as we are only a third-party company.
Bob Stahl: THEN MY LAWYER WILL CONTACT YOU ABOUT THE CHARGES AND PUNATIVE DAMAGES.
Mae: Is there anything else I could do for you?
Bob Stahl: REMOVE THE CHARGES NOW!!!
I F YOU CANNOT REMOVE THE CHARGES, ISSUE A CREDIT EQUAL TO THE CHARGES!!!
Mae: We would like to offer you Jamster credits worth $30.00 . You may use this credit to get up to 15 Jamster products.
Bob Stahl: NOT INTERESTED!! ISSUE A CREDIT EQUAL TO ANY CHARGES YOU HAVE MADE TO MY ACCOUNT!!!
Mae: We understand that you do not want to be charged for this service. The only way that we can refund you is by issuing you a refund check via mail which will be delivered within 20 working days from now.
Bob Stahl: NOT INTERESTED!!! ISSUE A CREDIT TO MY CELL ACCOUNT IN THE SAME EXPEDIENT MANNER YOU SENT ANY CHARGES!!!
Mae: Unfortunately, this is the only way that we can give you your $9.99 money back. Please be reminded that we do not have a direct access to Sprint's database to do a direct credit back onto your cellphone account.
Bob Stahl: THEN HOW DO YOU BILL???? I WANT A CREDIT NOW, AND THEY HAD BETTER NOT BE ANY CHARGES FOR TEXT MESSAGES THAT I ALSO DID NOT AUTHORIZE!!
Mae: We bill you through Sprint. They are the one who affects the charges, then they in return will pay us for whatever services have been ordered from us, which is why we cannot reverse the charge off of their database. Jamster and Sprint are two different companies, and uses two different database. We can only offer you a refund check, Bob.
Bob Stahl: IF YOU CAN BILL, YOU CAN CREDIT. I WILL ACCEPT NOTHING LESS.
Mae: Sorry, Bob, but I have provided you the only option that we can offer. We can only process a refund check. If you do not wish to be refunded via check, then I am afraid that I cannot assist you any further.
Bob Stahl: I WANT TO TALK TO YOUR SUPERVISOR.
Mae: I am an Account Manager.
Bob Stahl: SO GIVE ME YOUR BOSS
Mae: I am sorry, but I am the only person that you can speak with.
Bob Stahl: I WANT TO SPEAK WITH YOUR BOSS
Mae: Sorry, Bob, but there is no one else that you can chat with other than me.
Bob Stahl: I WILL BE POSTING THIS ENTIRE CHAT SESSION ON THE INTERNET TO HELP WARN OTHERS OF YOUR SCAMS. AS WELL AS SENDING THIS TO THE ATTORNEY GENERAL's OFFICE FOR REVIEW.

In conclusion: I Contacted Sprint Customer Service and they have credited all charges. Please be aware of this scam and do not give them your cell number.
