10 years later and Jay is still doing the same thing. I worked for Jay for a couple of years and trusted him. I put my own money into his projects and always got paid until recently. My second last job that we did for his company took over 3 months to receive payment. I gave him another chance unfortunatly and continued work for him. It has been almost 5 months now and no payment or response. Blocked calls, no response over email or text. Contractors like Jay give the industry a bad name, he is a scam and doesnt care about anyone other than himself. If you know him he is all talk.

I've done sub contractwork Jay for a few years now. Always a positive experience, pays on time and have yet to hear/see anything remotely close to what this customer has experienced.

There was several attempts to communicate to resolve this issue, but unfortunally any communications from him was harassment and the web post. I had also sent 2 registered letters and they came back unclaimed. I in no way vanished from this project. Our client did not pay the invoice and was advised a lien would be placed on the project property. The only protection contractors / trades have with no payment from a client is to lien the property of the project and possiably legal actions. This is a common practice.

I would like to remind all who read this that just because a company or individual is reported, does not mean you should not do business with them or they are bad. In some cases you are put in a predicament that you do not want to be in with the client not paying there invoice, you still somehow need to pay the vendors on that project. 

Remember not everything published on the web is always true, there is always two sides to the story. This happens everyday and distroys alot of people / business reputation.
