At Christmas time while shopping with my daughter, we were told if we spent $300 we would get a Merry Money voucher for $100 that we could use on any purchase at a later date. We even asked if we could use it on Valentine Sale merchandise and they said yes. Nothing about the $300 total purchase though.

Now they are saying we have to spend another
$300 to use the voucher. This is not what we were told the day of the sale. I would not of made the extra purchase if I had known this.

#1 UPDATE EX-employee responds

Merry Money

AUTHOR: Dana - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, December 15, 2008

It is clearly stated on the back of the Merry Money that you must spend in addition, the value of the Merry Money. (e.g. for $100, you choose an item for $200 and only pay $100 for it. The Merry Money takes care of the other $100.) No one gives something away for free if they are a business and operate to make profit. It is common sense.
