Jean Himmelstein will be 67 years old in May 2012. According a press release  Theatre 40 in Beverly Hills is pleased to have their new Associate Producer Jean Himmelstein. The press release says Jean Himmelstein brings her organizational skills, broad background in business and investments to her new career in the Theatre. This is a joke! Jean Himmelstein is an evil person. What kind of person  would steal the mail of little kids? Jean Himmelstein did  so on a regular basis. Jean Himmelstein committed mail fraud, numerous times. 18 USC 1702 - Obstruction of Correspondence, when she would steal the mail of young children. SHe would then read the private letters of these kids, and use the private information to bully and humiliate the children. This was never reported to the Postal authorities, therefore Jean Himmelstein was never arrested or convicted. Next timeSomebody at Theatre 40 sends out a press release, they need to do a background check and review the Los Angeles County Records.  When they do, they will discover that Jean Himmelstein and her friend and longtime business partner Lewis Kaplan are crooks, and that Jean Himmelstein's money just might be dirty.

Jean Himmelsteins friend and business partner Lewis Kaplan, and the company "Lobster Bouys" was the hub of an Enterprise which defrauded various investors. Himmelstein and Kaplan told the plaintiffs (and other investors including Robert Freedman, Steve Gilfenbein and Dean Biassucci) that they had, with the help of their associates, procured a very profitable contract to sell Maine lobster to a Las Vegas Casino operator, the Boyd Group.  They told investors  that their venture needed short-term financing to finance the purchase of the lobster product from a supplier located in Portland, Maine.  Himmelstein and Kaplan informed plaintiffs that they would be paid after the Boyd Group paid them for the product. This scheme was run out of Jean Himmelsteins home office in Century City, California,  from where  she typed correspondence to the victims and  to where the bank statements of her business were sent. Lobster Buoys LLC was a Nevada Limited Liability corporation. Because  Lobster Buoys had failed to pay its corporate taxes it was a suspended corporation, never authorized to do business in Nevada or California.
Lewis Kaplan is now dead. However, before his death, he confessed that Lobster Buoys was a total sham, and that he never bought or sold one Lobster.
The case Case No. BC 314 621. If you wish a copy, please email me at (((REDACTED)))@live.com.

In case # BC296839, Jean Himmelstein committed more evil and treachery. Her partner Lewis Kaplan contracted to buy a house from a young 30's something couple, Scott and Linda Webb. The House was at 5690 White Cloud Circle, Thousand Oaks, California. Kaplan was the shill for Jean Himmelstein because Kaplan could not own anything in his own name, and everything he did own was owned by Himmelstein. Therefore, as per their modus operandi,  Kaplan assigned the escrow to Jean Himmelstein. The escrow called for Jean Himmelstein to pay the young couple $775,097.80.
Jean Himmelstein took control of the escrow, agreed to pay off the promissory notes,  and proceeded to persuade the young couple to NOT secure the balance owed with a Deed of Trust, but only with a Promissory note for $775,000.00, which was everything the couple owned. The note was secured by Lobster receivables...As the previous case proved, there were NO Lobster "receivables".
Although the Title Company strongly advised the young couple to NOT close without a secured instrument, (2nd Deed of Trust), the Webbs were persuaded by  Jean Himmelstein and allowed the escrow to close, and transfer title.  Subsequently, Jean Himmelstein SOLD the house...and NEVER paid the note which was due and owing to the Webb's...Jean Himmelstein made a nice score, and then refused to pay off Scott and Linda Webb.

The Webbs were  young and nave  and were mortified that they were swindled, by this "nice person"...Therefore the enclosed suit was filed...Case # BC296839. Jean Himmelstein and Lewis Kaplan were sued for breach of contract and unjust enrichment.
After years of litigation, the young couple were broke...and forced to  settle with Jean for a paltry $150,000....bottom line they were screwed out of their $775,000 nest egg.
SCOTT WEBB was so distraught...he DIED....leaving his young wife and 3 daughtersI spoke to Linda Webb, the victim in this case, who is raising her 3 daughters alone as a single Mom...she, to this day, is suffering due to the fraud and deceit of Jean Himmelstein and Lewis Kaplan.

Jean Himmelstein Wolf in Sheep's Clothing

AUTHOR: Mike - (United States)

POSTED: Saturday, January 27, 2018

BEWARE. ALL CONS are charming, beguiling and likeable. It are those qualities which enable them to fleece their victims. Jean Himmelstein is 72 Years old, who would have her victims that she is a skilled legitimate business woman. In fact, she has NEVER held a real job. She cheated her own Father, who adopted her when she was an infant.

Jean Himmelstein is a Black Widow

AUTHOR: Mike - (United States)

POSTED: Saturday, January 27, 2018

Jean Himmelstein has always been a Loser. She is a corpulent slob, who never had any friends so she turned to crime in order to fit in with people she viewed as cool. She was willing to lie, cheat and steal in order to fit in. She and her self appointed BFF, Lewis Kaplan, ran the Ponzi scheme. Several Cases in the Los Angeles County Superior Court system confirm this.   Case # BC 314 621   Case # BC296 839,

WEST COAST JEWISH THEATRE

AUTHOR: Beware of Crooked Donors - (USA)

POSTED: Monday, October 19, 2015

Somehow, one would think it is due to JEAN HIMMELSTEIN buying her way into their good graces, JEAN HIMMELSTEIN is the Vice President of the WEST COAST JEWISH THEATRE.

Surely, JEAN HIMMELSTEIN did NOT disclose that she and her best friend, confidant and business partner ripped off many affluent Jewish people in a ponzi scheme involving the sale of Lobsters.

If the WEST COAST THEATRE knew this, surely they would not be associated with this mendacious thief.

Jeannie Himmelstein LOVED Lewis Kaplan

AUTHOR: Nothing but The TRUTH - (USA)

POSTED: Tuesday, June 12, 2012

Jean M "Jeannie" Himmelstein donates money to the Beverly Hills Theatre Community, including the prestigious GEFFEN THEATRE.
Jeannie donates money, which gives her access to people with whom she can associate. Jean Himmelstein schmoozes with the Director's, Producers and other fellow donors, holding herself out as a woman with "broad experience" in business and investments.  Jean is a fraud, which is evidenced by the public record in the Los Angeles County Court Records.
What the Theater Community in Los Angeles did NOT know, is that Jean HImmelstein and dear friend Lewis Kaplan were involved in numerous lawsuits alleging fraud, unjust enrichment and a ponzi scheme.  Jean Himmelstein and Lewis Kaplan, now deceased, are lethal. Lewis Kaplan was caught in a check kiting scheme, where he ripped off nearly a million dollars.
According to Jean Himmelstein, she loved Lewis Kaplan and Lewis "Louie" Kaplan loved her!
Below is an "eulogy" written by Jeannie Himmelstein for her dear friend, confidant and business partner Lewis "Louie" Kaplan.  Jean loved "Louie", because he could always make her laugh...What Lewis and Jean did to their victims is no laughing matter.

November 29, 2008
Lewis used to phone me, and the start of the conversation would always be the same -"JeJeJeJeannie" he would say. I would laugh and respond, "Hi, Louie, Louie." We both loved songs. Funny how I can hear him saying that as clear as a bell in my head. Kinda nice. Hope it lasts a long time. But Lewis deserves something more formal from me, so here goes.

My dearest Louie, Louie gave my husband, Gene, a run for his money in the uniqueness department. Both of them were charming, handsome, intelligent and fun loving, but Lewis had that SPECIAL sweetness about him that I found very endearing.

I always knew he truly cared about me, but in the year before his death, he outdid himself in the caring department. He helped me adjust to Gene's death by furthering my new career in the theatre, using his many contacts to make me look important when i really wasn't. Lewis was warm, loving and supportive - always cheering me on. He gave me strength and courage and confidence in myself. He knew my worth better than I. And he was so pleased for me - about my "new Life" as he called it. He helped me to fly, Lewis did. He held me up until I could fly on my own, and then he let me soar. His face would light up with joy for me when he saw how happy I was in my new world. I hope it does still as I feel him around me a lot when I am in the theatre. Such precious memories.

I considered Lewis a dear friend - one who could always make me laugh, lift my spirits and make me feel safe when the world was a very scary place. I knew that whatever I needed he would try and provide it simply because he loved me. How wonderful is that? Just to know that. That you are loved just for you. Priceless.

Louie, Louie, I hold you close in my heart always and forever. Thanks for knowing me and caring about me. I know you did this for a lot of people, but please understand wherever you are that I ALWAYS recognized and appreciated your goodness. I miss your presence terribly, but I have a sneaking suspicion that you and Gene are now enjoying your next adventure. If you can't be here, it is a happy thing for me to believe that you two are together again somewhere in time. Have fun, boys, and don't do anything I wouldn't do. Ha.

As love never dies, I can say -

Love you big time,
JeJeJeJeannie

Jeannie Himmelstein,
Los Angeles, California

$$MILLIONS lost in Lobster Buoys Fraud

AUTHOR: STOP THE FRAUD - (United States of America)

POSTED: Tuesday, April 24, 2012

Nobody knows  for sure how much money Lewis Kaplan ripped off, or how much Jean Himmelstein netted, but it is in the MILLIONS of dollars.  For years, Jean Himmelstein bragged how she "beat Robert "Bobby" Freedman in Court". That is true, but in several other cases Jean was forced to pay back those who were ripped off. Ryan Ogulnick, partner of Lee Benchay, said he got "about 50cents on the dollar".  Another victim is the respected Steven Gilfenbain, owner of STEVECO, known as the Grapeman, who is a prominent Beverly Hills businessman and philanthropist. Steve sued, and got back some of his money.
Other victims of this fraud include Lee Benchay, now deceased,  Ryan Ogulnick, Sam Schatz, Andy Cross, Robert Bowen and Stephan Cusic, Jeremy Oaulnick, Dmeu Weingarten, Kenny  Peteraon, Craig Ogulnick, Robert Bowen, Jung Woo and  and Brian Pinbtt.

MORE to come...
