The owner of these companies John Ewans almost destroyed our start up business by telling us what we wanted to hear bu had no real capablity of making the prototype we wanted. He took our money, produced something unfit for purpose on so many levels and even though he signed an NDA placed a video of the prototype on YouTube. Unbelievable he is a crook.

The unit he produced was nothing like the specification we agreed in writing, he lied what it was capable of doing and he delayed and delayed and would not give us our money back. We wrote to him saying we would issue a summons which he ignored.

We have now issued the summons and he had a friend over 200 miles away who is a solicitor try and intimdate us and eventually he agreed to refund us in full but only if we agree never to sue him for loses. This is unfair as he has delayed us for at least 6 months and when we go into production can work out our loses on a monthly basis.

The contract he wanted us to sign was also unfair as potentially any negative comment about him on the internet he could sue us for, he tried to trick us. We believe someone from his company also released iconfidential nformation on Facebook and other online forums.

John Ewans also sent us a forged video which showed more work had actually been completed than in reality. He suggested we commited fraud which we did not. He has two companies and between them make only around $13,000 per year as Active design loses nearly all what JED makes.
