Jeff Byce Auctions is a RIP OFF!! Be careful -DO NOT USE HIM!! He has taken advantage of elderly people and those who want to sell homes -he "acts" like he wants to sell your home, but really he wants to get them to auction, and he is the ONLY one who makes money on these auctions! He charges sellers fees to auction their properties AND ALSO makes out on the same deal by charging the buyers 10% of the sale price on the same home the sellers are paying him for!!! You will notice if you talk to him that he won"t take your home for sale or auction if you don't have alot of equity. This way (with alot of equity in it) he can sell you home at a very low price so he doesn't waste him time on getting you a higher price for your home. He just cares what goes into HIS pocketts! And buyers should not go to his auctions and pay a buyer premium 10% -of which HE keeps! The seller is already paying him too! You will also notice he is real happy to take your stuff from your home to his place to auction, while he pays you a little, and makes alot (I believe he should make some money, but he rips you off!). Pay attention to his smart sales tactics -He is the one that makes out! & doesn't care what he gets for his poor sellers! Thats why his things sell fast, they are priced too low -so he gets paid fast! What a rip off and horrible thing he does to people. He is also a realtor for Coldwel Banker First Place Real Estate Company, and I wouldnt use them either knowing he is a part of that company.

I have had a lot of  experience working with auctions for many years from real property auctions to consumable auctions.  I believe that the person writing this article has little experience with the auction process or t hey would recognize that Mr. Byce follows standard practice.  If an owner wants to meet a certain price in an auction they have the absolute right to place a reserve on the item so if Mr. Byce is selling products lower than expected then he has been given permission by the owner to do so.  He is in the business to make money and that is his focus.  I have also known him for years and bought many items and real estate from him.  I would not hesitate to purchase something from him again.  The consumer who wrote this article really needs to research auctions and they will find that his practices are typical if not better than many auction houses.  Check out the rates Sothebys charges....
