I located this girl on Hoobly selling German Shepherds. We spoke for a long time on the phone before I planned to go look at her dogs. The photograph she posted of the dog for sale was, at the very least, misleading. It may have not even been the same dog. But I didn't spend much time looking at that dog as I saw two others I liked. I purchased what was supposed to be a pregnant female and a panda puppy from her.

What it turned out to be was a non-pregnant dog who had heartworms and a puppy that had to be rushed to an emergency vet call out before I even got it home. She said she would replace the puppy, but stopped returning phone calls after I alerted her that things had gone bad with both the puppy and the dog. I attempted to reach her for a full day before assuming she had been scamming me and pursuing other avenues.

Lucky for me one of the things she sent home in the car with me (sitting next to my 8 year old) was giardia, which turns her fraud into endangerment. I have filed charges against her.

My Lost Panda Puppies

AUTHOR: jane - ()

POSTED: Friday, March 22, 2013

I my recent pursuit of my lost panda puppies,  I have talked to several people; one person has acknowledged seeing my female panda pup, Iris, in the possession of Jennifer Herberts.  This person was interested in purchasing Iris; but the price was too much and Jennifer told her she had sold her.  This person sent me a picture of her purchased pup who didn't appear to be a panda shepherd.  There was another purchase of a panda shepherd; but I didn't see a pic of that puppy.  Jennifer told me the next day my male panda puppy; Ammo, had died; but refused to provide a vet name or proof of how he actually died; in other words a report from the vet.  Jennifer's mother told me Ammo had died weeks later and that I knew this.  I know no such thing.  We have  contract with Jennifer.  She was not to register, breed, show or sell, give away our pups without immediately notifying us so we could and would reclaim them. She has breached the entire contract to what I have learned.  Another person sent her a male puppy panda pup named Panzer and possibly a female panda pup.  Jennifer also had a contract with this person and breached it. At least this other person knows where her pup named Panzer is.

As I stated above, I talked to several people and the last one was a real doozy.  Claimed she knew all about Jennifer and called what she has done "antics".  I think what Jennifer has done goes way behind "antics".  She also says she still does business with Jennifer.  That is beyond me why she would continue to do business when she said she has also been scammed by Jennifer. I would think most people would not. To be fair, this person has spoken with the breeder of the panda puppy she received.  I do not know what was said. However, the breeder did tell me Jennifer also had a contract with Jennifer concerning the male pup this person has.  This person told me Jennifer had another female pup from this person who was contracted.  Wonder why Jennifer did not honor mine?  Also to be fair to the last person, I contacted her regarding her panda shepherds.  I did admit I wasn't telling the entire truth; but was really interested in how she obtained her pandas.  I told her she was right to be mad; but would she have shut me down if I had told her the entire truth.  And yes, I was interested in the panda puppies.  She did send me a pedigree on a puppy that she says has panda lines; but had another dog's name on it.  I asked who this dog was and have never received a reply.

This last person said she expressed an interest in helping me find my pups.  She insisted I give her a copy of my contract.  I declined for legal reasons.  She could go to Jennifer and get it.  But she kept sticking on that point.  My guess is she never intended to help me at all; which I am sorry for.  The reason I believe she never intended to help me is she kept sticking on one point which I would not concede when she knows the reason is legitimate.  Of course, that gave her the opportunity to make me the victim into the bad guy and for her to shut me down.  If i had a nickel for every time handing me that line.

These are red flags for these people.  The glom onto some point they know you are right about; then when you the victim refuse to budge; they make you the bad guy and shut you down.  Keep this in mind when you are purchasing a puppy.  She also told me to get over it because it had been a long time and my puppies were either in heaven or with someone I don't even know.  Gee, I already know that.  Also, wasn't that a great thing to say to a person?  Not.

I also hope these people are reading this and perhaps one will actually tell me the real truth.

Panda puppy

AUTHOR: jane - (United States of America)

POSTED: Wednesday, March 06, 2013

May I ask you a question or more?  What color(s) was the panda puppy?  Was the puppy a female or male and how old would you say the puppy was when you purchased it?

replacement dog got clean bill of health

AUTHOR: Trudy Scales - (United States of America)

POSTED: Monday, July 18, 2011

The dog Jennifer gave me (a very generous replacement for a rather fragile puppy) got a clean bill of health at the vet today. I have plans to do business with Jennifer again, and I believe people believing they were mistreated by her have made the same mistake I did by jumping to conclusions.

Arrangements kept

AUTHOR: Trudy Scales - (United States of America)

POSTED: Saturday, July 16, 2011

Jennifer kept the very generous and overly flexible arrangements she made with me. She replaced the puppy witth a dog she wasn't even selling last time I was there. She jumped through hoops to make our situation right, and I will be doing business with her in the future.

Jennifer has made arrangements with me

AUTHOR: Trudy Scales - (United States of America)

POSTED: Thursday, July 14, 2011

After re-establishing contact, Jennifer has offered to replace the puppy with either another puppy that she has available, an adult dog she has available, or a puppy from a future litter. And she has offered to rebreed my female that was not bred as was though. She is seemingly making every effort to be reasonable and accommodating to me in this situation, and assuming that we do carry out these arrangements, I will be perfectly happy with the business I've done with her. I will update after we've carried out our arrangements.

Jennifer made contact with me

AUTHOR: Trudy Scales - (United States of America)

POSTED: Tuesday, July 12, 2011

She contacted me saying she'd lost her telephone and just received my messages about the situation. This rings true, as she would have no reason to contact me if she was intentionally scamming people. We will see how it unfolds, but at this time, I withdraw my assertion that Jennifer Herbers is being dishonest with me.

Amber Wharton

AUTHOR: Trudy Scales - (United States of America)

POSTED: Saturday, July 09, 2011

While in her house, I saw paperwork (dog papers) in the name of Amber Wharton. I saw no cats that weren't your typical house cats. She has more animals listed on hoobly, see user  hzznyhc848. She did have some American Bullies on her place, but none were pregnant.

The place she met me (and seemed to live) was off of FM 1161 on country road 119 near Hungerford, Tx.
