Car ran hot, pulled over immediately, checked antifreeze and it was low. Stopped at gas station and bought 50/50 mix antifreeze and poured into radiator. The next day called dealer for service apppointment on car.

1999 Mercury Sable was brought in for work, with a gallon of antifreeze in the back seat to insure the engine does not get hot again. Pipe rusted and leaking antifreeze but is not covered under warranty. Pipe was repaired. Repairs cost about $500.00

Technican tested car after fixing rusted pipe, says it needs a valve job and it should be covered under our warranty.

Service technician asked for my permission to remove heads so inspectors can inspect car, I said yes but was instructed that if for some reason its not authorized, I would have to pay myself. I authorized the tear down of heads for inspection, thinking that it would be no problem.

Inspectors came out to examine car, and would not cover it because they said it was driven too long while it was hot and the rusted piped that was leaking antifreeze was part of the problem. The repair work came to about $2,200 dollars.

Car is still sitting at dealership for arrangement for payment and it has been repaired.
