I have been getting those same emails and I am reading the Kindle book now. I have received lots of free information all along. Of course he sells some stuff! You would not stay long at your job if they didn't pay you right?

By the way this is not my first time buying from an Internet marketer. I have been ripped off by others just out to get a buck, and Jim is not one of those.

Jim has delivered on everything he said he would, and for a better price than a lot out there.

I have paid for coaching more than once, and it does cost some money if it's any good. I think we should focus on real actions instead of a person on the phone. There are many good Internet Marketers out there and yes many of them know each other just like any other business. Why would they not help each other out?

I have seen enough of the cons out there, I hate to see a post like this wasted on one of the good guys!

PS You will notice this site is loaded with marketing, does that make them a ripoff? No! It makes them smart.

After my encounters with this bunch I saw this ripoff report and thought I'd add my two cents.

I too got a call from a guy in Utah selling "Jim Cockrum Coaching". 
After refusing to answer specific questions (well not refusing just constantly trying to 'refocus' me) the telemarketer made some derogatory comments and actually hung up on ME!  I can't help but chuckle every time I recall this :-)  I was actually not opposed to 'coaching' (Jim claims to be a successful, Christian, pillar of the community type) but was not going to just whip out the credit card without details. However, after this episode I did some more research and don't think I will be
doing business with Jim's people in the future.

This 'coaching' program turns out to be paying kickbacks (referral fees or whatever) to multiple internet marketeers -- not just Jim Cockrum. That's why they answer the phone with the generic "Coaching Office".  It looks like the coaching office is actually owned and operated by Nathan
Bailey who licenses the names of several online sales gurus including Jim Cockrum. Check out this site for example. The same phone number is used for www.onlinesellingcoach.com, JimCockrumCoaching.com, SkipMcGrathCoaching.Com & www.cashflowmentoring.com There are likely more sites, but Nathan Bailey owns all of these domains.

I don't know if the coaching is actually a ripoff (and I'm not going to pay to find out). But I am cancelling my membership in Jim's site as most of the content is designed to up-sell/cross-sell and not to provide help.

I do find it very hard to believe that the 'mentors' working for Bailey have all been trained by each of these gurus personally. They all push the program as though you will be trained by their personal students who have proven themselves successful. If they were actually successful with online ventures of their own, wouldn't they be busy running those businesses? My guess is that they are operating out of a small call center making $10-15 an hour.

All of the internet income 'gurus' run in packs. They promote each others books, services, tools (generally the same rehashed junk) and profit together. Jim Cockrum does a nice job of separating himself from the crowd, but it seems to be just a clever disguise.

Of course, Jim claims to only promote the best products to his list rather than support someones launch for a quick buck, but being on his email list for a while now, proves otherwise. One recent example: I was invited to a training webinar with Jim and Dan Hollings which turned out to be a total sales push with no training benefit whatsoever. Jim seems like a good guy, I thought, so maybe this pitch caught him off guard and he didn't want to call out his friend publicly - but the more you see these things the more you realize it is not coincidence. I did sign up for Dan's site and found it outdated and less than helpful.

Just last week I got an email from Jim about free training and resources for "Amazon Kindle success". Notice the link goes first to one of Jim's sites so he can be sure to get his affiliate commission in case you buy the $300 program they are pushing. I missed the window for the free book ( but the timer resets each time..) but reading the reviews on Amazon makes me feel better about missing it :-)

If the saying is true that you are the average of the five people you spend the most time with, then you are no better than those you recommend to others.

FWIW, I called Jim's support phone number to let him know about the impression I got from his operation (wanting to give him the benefit of the doubt in case he really is the salt of the earth kind of guy). After listening to a very long branding message, I was told that I can leave my number and someone will call me back in a few hours or I could send an email.  I opted for the email as it it typically easier and quicker to get a response but after two days I had not heard back from anyone.

Anyway, now you have a lot more info than I did when I first stated looking into Jim Cockrum -- Proceed with caution.
