Bill Johnston, claims to be the owner of a well run tax consulting business.  I run a small textile business ,in Metro Austin, and received his call to book an appointment, on saving money using a secret tax system. Bill claimed the system was legal, and not any scam. I agreed to meet, and met the following week. Bill showed up late, and smelled of booze. I let him continue on his tax presentation. After the presentation, I did not feel comfortable with the options he made for my company and the business we do.  

The suggestions that he made about my payroll, and other taxes, seemed to be fraudulent and various ways to scam the IRS. I told Bill that I would review the information, and I would call him in a week or so.  Bill demanded my answer to do business with him right away, and then said that I owe him $200 for the consultation.  I asked him to invoice me, and he said payment is due now. I then asked Bill to leave, he refused, and my partner and I had to escort Bill out of the building.

Bill seems to be an old timer tax consultant that has numbered days in this business. He is way out of touch with the present reality of business, and a major depressant, or desparate for business. You can get much better tax advice by just going on line, or to a tax professional, like H&R or equivalent. Do not waste any time with Bill Johnston and Associate Advisors.
