Thank you for the free advertising! However, there were a few details that were inaccurate.

We would like to correct those details so the RipOff readers have the correct facts about Jones Automotive.

1) The current shareholders have never claimed to have “been there” for 50 years.

2) Dave Jones started the company in 1950. Therefore, Jones Automotive has “been there” for 64 years.

3) Dave Jones sold the company to “another man” in 1979.

4) The “other man” was tragically killed in an auto accident in 1993.

5) The subsequent owners (6 not 5) did not purchase the “name” from the deceased’s widow. The 6 “workers” were also shareholders and they purchased the controlling shares from the deceased‘s widow.

6) The subsequent shareholders (“workers”) took final control of Jones Automotive when the stock purchase was finalized in 1994.

7) The 6 subsequent shareholders (“workers”) had been with Jones Automotive for

            21, 16, 12, 12, 10 and 10 years at the time of the tragic accident.

Therefore, the remaining shareholders, now 5, (2 of the 6 afore mentioned shareholders had sold out and moved on and 1additional shareholder has bought in as of 2007) have “been there” 41, 37, 33, 32 & 6 years.

No! none of the current “owners” have “been there” 50 years, and have never claimed to have been, but all of them are proud to have been helping to perpetuate the Dave Jones Motto: “The Real Bargain is Quality and Service” and the Jones’ legacy of “Pride and Precision in Everything we do”!
