A person by the name of Barrister Jones Rhodes of Maryland-Lagos Nigeria sent me an email on August 27, 2004 and claimed to be a solicitor at law and found me to try to claim 15.7 million dollars from a man that has my same last name.
The man worked with the Shell developement company in Nigeria and happened to have died in a plane crash on January 30, 2000 with his wife and three children on the Coast of D'Ivoire. After three years of atempting to find relatives, the Barrister wants me to claim as next of kin.
Doing so, we will split the money, 60% for him and 40% for me. And he places a guarantee that it is a purely legitimate arrangement. He then asked me to return his email with my telephone number and fax number to begin.

I just wanted to let you and everyone else know I seen a very similar email as above. I almost fell for it but thank God I have common sense not to trust anything through email or for most of all our country. I do not have relatives in another country. Anyways to make a long story short here is what was stated in short:
I found your name on the internet
You could be long lost relative of soandso
Just compromise with me and you will get 40% of 43 million dollars..
It is all legit and documented...
Barrister Geoffrey Bell (I think it has been awhile)
DONT Fall for these scams. If it is too Good to be true then It is. The safe way to go anymore. Thank God I used common sense that day. Sometimes I tend to get a little gullible.
PS: These come from other countries as well like United Kingdom, Europe, Middle East etc...
