I started working with him in June 2013 as Project Manager; I hired people for him like creatives, programmers.  I also dealt with clients because he seemed to not like dealing with them.  I found that out when a client yelled at me for breaching the contract.  The whole time I was there, I had to deal with 2 clients who filed law suits for breaching the contract.  

The owner, Delano Johnson, would brief people and would give them 1 day to work on them, some projects are doable but some are impossible; but he is the type of guy who would disappear so our freelancers are sort of used to it.  1-day deadlines end up being 3-day deadlines, sometimes we wouldn't even submit them.

He started not paying people in October 2013.  The freelancers messaged me and said they were going to sue him.  He owed our Pakistani freelancers and a freelancer from Alabama over $800 (each).  I was beginning to think of myself as his "right hand".  He paid me, but did not pay any of the freelancers.  I never told the freelancers that I was getting paid, and now I don't work with those talented people any more.  I stopped working for him in November 2013. 

He took me on board again in June 2014 as Project Manager.  Again my role was to hire freelancers and talk to clients.  I hired a freelancer for him.  The freelancer did some logo work initially and later on followed instructions from Delano Johnson.  In the end Delano said he never wanted to work with him again because he didn't follow instructions, which was very weird because I was in the middle and I made sure they were both happy (Delano said he was).  To our surprise, Delano copied the initial layout this freelancer did and closed the job on Basecamp, never paying the freelancer.

He sent me an email that they were not going to be needing my help and if anything comes up, they were going to call me.  We had just finished a website work which he hadn't paid yet.  I never got the payment.  He would ignore our messages or sometimes reply and say he "will pay when he has the money".  

This guy closes the job and sends over the files to the clients when the clients have paid.  So I don't understand if this b*****d is on drugs or just out there to scam people.  I don't understand why he says he doesn't have the money when I am 100% sure the clients have paid (if not, we wouldn't send over the files).
