The Department of Securities, Public Information Officer Jennifer Bolton provided the SLC Tribune and other media sources with information on Mr. Ottis that is false and misrepresented with alleged prejudice and slander.
The Salt Lake Tribune obviously published the information without investigating the accuracy and or legitimacy of the information.
A retraction of the information has been requested by the office of former Senator John De Camp, on behalf of Mr. Ottis.
Note that the Utah Department of Commerce is presently under investigation for false prosecution and abuse of authority. The investigation is being led by (R) Jim Bird, Utah House of Representatives.
