BAD DOGO BREEDER Julie Brungard of DOGS OF GENIUS DOGO ARGENTINOS! I purchased my Dogo Argentino from the unethical Dogo breeder Julie A Brungard of Genius Dogos Argentinos. Julie lies, inbreeds dogos, does not give health guarantees as promised, does not give shot records as promised, sells unhealthy dogos & DOES NOT EVEN GIVE REGISTRATION PAPERS AS PROMISED & PAID FOR.

This nightmare started in Oct 2007 when my wife contacted Julie Brungard / Genius dogos aka Dogs Of Genius Dogo Argentinos looking for a show quality puppy to show for fun. My wife found Julie in doing a search for titled dogos & contacted her thinking she had quality dogs. We didn't have any real interest in breeding but my wife thought showing would be a fun hobby because she showed in AKC as a kid.

Julie offered my wife & I a dogo aregentino puppy named "Antigua" & her sister (who I later found out are BADLY INBRED Dogos!). My wife was worried about hips because of horror stories we read on dogo message boards about bad dogo breeders breeding & selling dogos with bad hip dysplasia so she asked Julie Brungard of Genius dogos about her health/hip guarantee & Julie told us she would be fully guaranteed to have "good hips" until she was 2 years old. Julie said she will send us the guarantee, shot records & registration papers immediately after we paid for "Antigua".

My wife was also concerned about her being show quality because with flight she would be over $2,500.00. Julie Brungard assured my wife that her dogos were all show quality & the best. I read an email she sent my wife in which she wrote that her dogos are show quality & that other dogo breeders such as Tim Parr, Debonair & a couple other breeders... have very bad headed dogos but hers are better .

At the same time she told my wife that her dogos were the number 1 champions so my wife was impressed but when I reread her emails I found several emails that stated she was showing all of her litter mate Dogos against each other every weekend & trying to manipulate the judges to pick the one she wants to win! She even emailed my wife a list of the points she would win to be number 1 in UKC just by showing her litter mate dogos against each other.

THIS IS NOT A REPUTABLE WAY TO WIN ANY THING! She shows dogos that are related against each other to accumulate points so she can say her dogs are big winners & sell puppies for a higher price. Her dogs wins are not respectable & should not count! f I would have read the emails sent to my wife before we purchased Antigua I would have never ever bought her!

After Julie Brungard /Genius dogos made all of these promises to my wife we over-nighted her a money order by certified mail. After that we got "Antigua" but NOTHING else ever again. My wife asked Julie Brungard repeatedly over & over again for Antigua's original shot regards, health guarantee & registration papers that we paid for & she agreed to send us she would never send us any of it!

After we asked many many times for the health guarantee Julie sent my wife a blank one that she did not sign so we signed it & sent it back to her asking her to sign it too. She responded back to us coldly & talking down to us like we are stupid, SHE SAID NO that she had to verify my ID which is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard! She didn't need to verify my ID to cash my money order or SEND THE DOG TO ME!

My name was on the money order & all airport documents etc how could I be any one else?? Right then I knew she was making excuses & couldn't be trusted! We emailed Julie Brungard over & over again about receiving Antigua's registration papers as we purchased her as a show dog, but we surely couldn't show her with out papers! Julie absolutely refused to send me any documentation!

She made up a crazy story about needing to verify my phone number so we did what she asked & then she said that she had to verify our ID & address again. Which is absolutely crazy because my name & address was on the money order certified mail from the post office & the Air port documentation. I sent Julie a copy of my drivers license which she said she never received. She also told me that UKC requires it (another lie) I contacted UKC & they said absolutely not that all they need is for the breeder to keep a copy of the address that they write on the UKC application for the new owners which would be the SAME address used on the Airport info etc that Julie had.

So to make a long story shorter we paid a lot of money for a dog with no papers of any kind at all. I did also have a dogo Argentino breeder judge look at her & he said that she is NOT even show quality that she is leggy, awkward narrow in front & has a very gay tail.

We love Antigua as our pet but even just as a pet she has not been a very healthy dogo. She has had bouts of RED MANGE off & on the whole time we have owned her starting with a bald spot on her neck that has grown rapidly & required many expensive dips from the vet. Upon x-raying her hips last week due to a limp we found that she has a subluxation in her left hip joint.

After getting these results from our vet we did further research on Antigua's line only to find that she is closely INBRED which absolutely disgust me! Antigua's parents Rena & Buncho are the equivalent to HALF BROTHER & SISTER it is listed on the DOGS OF GENIUS DOGO ARGENTINO web site: (((link redacted)))

My wife was intimidated by Julie because Julie Brungard is very rude & treats my wife like she is stupid so we have stopped asking Julie Brungard for any thing but we want to warn others not to ever by a Dogo Argentino puppy from breeders Julie Brungard or Dogs Of Genius Dogo Argentinos !
