3 years ago we I bought a puppy from Kandi Maltese and my experience was the complete OPPOSITE of what is described in this report.  When we came to meet Andrea, my family spent 2 hours in her home, meeting several dogs, including the parents of the puppy we were considering, and seeing where they slept etc.  The dogs appeared to be beloved family pets with the run of the house all very sweet and well socialized.  For references I was given the name/phone number of a client and a Veterinarian.

Andrea was very caring (even a little neurotic) about the well-being of her puppies and the home they would be placed in.  She even insisted on meeting my 12-year old daughter to assess whether she was gentle and responsible enough to handle a fragile toy dog.  We were questioned extensively about what type of home we would provide, and whether the dog would be left home alone a lot.  Moreover, Andrea would not allow our puppy to come home with us until it was at least 12 weeks old and/or 2 pounds, and she was happy to answer questions about puppy care afterwards.

Our puppy has grown into a healthy, beautiful, sweet adult dog and we praise her breeder for helping us to find such a wonderful addition to our family.

You can't believe everything you read, let's face it. The people complaining are anonymous or have made up fake names. It's amazing how powerful some can feel sitting safely behind their computers. The fact is, these things being said about Andrea are untrue. Andrea does show her dogs. She is showing a boy right now. I know this, because I have met her at two of the shows she's taken him to and taken pictures. He is a beautiful dog and she has done a wonderful job with him. I believe he only lacks his majors which as I understand are not that easy to find. I own one of Andrea's dogs and he is well socialized, she ran a full blood panel on him, his dad is a Champion, his mom's dad is a Champion along with most of his pedigree from what I can see. She would not let him go home with me until he was at least 12 weeks old and I can't believe it, but he was potty trained when I got him. He has a clean white face and I can not walk down any street or mall without people swooning. We call it his pupparazi. Nobody is perfect, but Andrea is pretty close in my opinion. She has always been very honest with me. I find it very hard to believe she would not be with anyone else. She is a very sweet lady whom my family and I adore. I think it's very disheartening to think that whether it be competition or just plain jealousy, would lead someone to go through so much to damage someone's reputation for nothing more than their own personal amusement. I am more than willing to be a reference for Andrea and show my beautiful baby off to anyone who would like to know the truth. I stand by her 100 percent. I'd also like to say that Andrea showed me both parents to my baby before I committed to adopting him, she sent me pictures every week up until he was ready for me to take him home and answered every single one of my seemingly never ending list of questions I had for her.

A very dishonest and horrible backyard breeder whose only interest lies in making money from her puppies. She advertises herself as a reputable show breeder/exhibitor of Maltese but IS NOT. She has never finished a Maltese to its championship (Ace was finished by Dian of Midis Maltese) nor does she know the pedigrees of her dogs. In fact, the pedigrees of her dogs hardly has any champions in it and are mostly from Bluefield, who is another BYB breeder.

This is very dangerous as she does not put effort in doing research or get to know other reputable breeders in order to better the maltese breed. For the prices she charges for her Maltese, you could get a very healthy, beautiful Maltese from a REPUTABLE show breeder with an impeccable pedigree. Please stay away from Andrea and Kandi Maltese. Do your research and go to AMA to find a reputable show breeder. You need to ask a lot of questions when you talk to the breeder and the best scenario would be to visit their home and see all their dogs (how they live, the parents etc).
