Kaplan University Needs to be SHUT DOWN! Chicago Illinois Internet

I agree with every report written here about Kaplan University. I was there for some time, under the watchful eye of complete idoit managers. You have a different manager every few months, because of so much inside promotion. These inside promotions are given 99 percent of the time based on friendship, or sexual orientation. They will, after hoardes of a*s-kissing, give it to someone who actually deserves it. They get rid of the best workers, citing things as simple as being 5 minutes late to one of the morning "huddles" that are meaningless, as enough to get you canned.

The practices are among the most unethical I have ever seen in my life! The financial aid process, which should be handled by financial aid reps only, gets walked through by Directors of Admissions, on cell phones and personal emails. This alone should get the place shut down.

The Senior Vice President, Greg Marino, has no degree, and this is who comes in trying to motivate a bunch of scrubs to sell education? Scott Kilgor and Kathryn MacFairlane are so out of touch with reality that they just let this stuff go on forever. They have THE WORST management skills, and do not know how to talk to people, or hold down good workers.

Not to mention the quotas, that are illegal in Title 4 funded education, that Kaplan lies under. They have to make goals of sometimes up to 4 people a week to keep their jobs! I was written up, or "PIPed" as they call it, for failing to bring in enough students in enough time. So I started looking for another job. You cant sell education, plain and simple. You either want it or you dont, but when they fire people, it's usually for misconduct or attendance, so they can save their asses on paper.

When the higher education commission comes to visit, the staff has to scramble to take down anything that points to it being a quota based environment, such as the pennants that say "I MADE GOAL"! Those mean you get to keep your job for another month or so.

Everyone is sleeping with everyone, drama and arguments can be heard in the background by students, babies are being had, and the entire place knows your business- no thanks to the incompetent Human resources staff headed by the devil himself, Ms.O'neal. She tells all of your confidential business to your direct manager, so there is more drama and more cause for them to fire you.

A warning to all happy employees of Kaplan University- DO NOT GET COMFORTABLE! you will not be there longer than a year, if you're lucky. Get out while you can. Run!

This place is a rip off to customers, charging Harvard prices for online school? What overhead are you paying for? It's a way to get your information stolen, for sure, and the turnanround is so bad that your file while be in the hands of several different people. Someone needs to have this place demolished.
