After agreeing to bill my client for a deposition transcript, Kaplanek Court Reporting, a company located 200 miles from my office, decided to file a frivilous small claims action on a date they knew I could not attend. When they obtained a judgment, they sent one of their lackeys to go through my building posting signs stating that I did not pay my bills. From here, they contacted my highschool friends on Facebook and began to harass them.
These people have violated both the California and Federal Fair Debt Collection acts. It is our intention to sue them for their conduct. In the meantime, DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE!
