#1 REBUTTAL Owner of company
Owner's Response
AUTHOR: Kevin - (United States of America)
SUBMITTED: Tuesday, October 02, 2012
This review is entirely false. Some key elements that make this readily apparent are that the review is anonymous, no specific details are posted, no event date is given, and no evidence of a contract for services or legal judgments are provided by the reviewer. Kevin Jacobus Photography has always delivered products to our clients and has always had 100% attendance at all contracted events.
After some investigation, it appears this review was posted by an entity outside the United States in an attempt to scam the business owner into purchasing search engine optimization reputation management services by utilizing scare tactics of posting a false review on this website, which has a policy of not removing reviews. Some key elements of this situation from the business owner:
1) I was contacted by e-mail anonymously the day before this review was posted, with a threat that this review was going to be posted.
2) I was contacted via the contact form on my website the day after this was posted and several times later with an offer of SEO reputation management services to help remove this review. Based on the IP address of the inquiry, I was able to determine the location of the entity contacting me as Romania.
3) I was contacted by phone from a caller with an international phone code who had an Eastern European accent, again offering this so-called service.
4) Exactly the same review was posted on the website, weddingwire.com. The webmaster of that website was able to determine in less than an hour after I lodged a complaint that the review was fraudulent. This is because the same reviewer was posting false information about other wedding industry service providers around the same time.
