Show customers why they should trust your business over your competitors...
A customer called and wanted to rent a boat. He was told there were three available. He called some friends, called back and solidified the reservation. Within 10 minutes he called back and said he woke up his son and he was sick. I said it was no problem and think of us in the future. The King family rep at the time said I should have charged him the full rental as he canceled and it was policy. I said if I was in fact the manager I should be able to make that decision and I did because he was a potential future customer. He again told me it was a company policy. I told him where he could put the policy. He said he was going to call and tell his Dad. I told him to call Daddy and I quit that day.

Once again, why are the slip renters upset with the management and tell me about it? Half of the renters relocated to other marina's. Check out (site view) the repair building and offices before you commit to anything. If it looks like an organized business, then go ahead with caution!!!!!!!!!

Jobs are not easy to get, not sure why you would just walk off your job like that when you didn't agree with what the owner's policies were, did not follow them, and got upset when you were told you were going to be reported to the owner. Yes, this business is family owned and has been for generations, so they would be calling the dad. They sound like they were professional and politely told you that you had done wrong. You are certainly within your rights to quit, but it doesn't sound like anything should be said against the King's Cove folks.
