Complaint Review: Kohls Dept Stores - Menomonee Falls Wisconsin
Kohls Dept Stores Ridiculous Line of Credit Limits Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin
*Consumer Comment: not a rip off.
*Consumer Comment: Seriously??? This is not a ripoff
*General Comment: I don't see the ripoff...
*Consumer Comment: Where's the ripoff?
I called to increase my measely $1000 line of credit with Kohls. We've had the card since 2007 and have an over 800 credit rating; couldn't be more perfect. They claimed they couldn't increase the line, had pulled our credit report 2 weeks ago and it only met the $1000 limit qualification. I know the banks are making it harder to extend credit, but come on. We've NEVER defaulted on any payments with any of our creditors and we've never been refused an increase in credit, especially on something as low at $1000. UNBELIEVEABLE.

Kohls offers a credit card through capital 1. Take your issue to them. Also kohls will increase your line of credit about once a year if you're charging 600 dollars a year. If your credit limit is a 1000 that is probably typical for someone with good credit. It is a store card that can only be used with kohls. The interest rate is around 27%, you are better off stsying at a 1000.

OMG Seriously!!! How did you get ripped off? WTH do you need over a $1000 credit line for a clothing dept store for anyway? I guess we will see you on an episode of Hoarders.

So you didn't get your credit limit increased. How is that a ripoff? If anything, the finance company did you a favor.

This store doesn't have to extend you any credit. Who are you to decide how much credit you should be entitled to? If you have such stellar credit, why do you need a higher limit from this particular store? Just use a regular credit card. If you are as credit worthy as you say, any bank will give you a $5K limit from the get go.
