Kurland Design Group / Scott Kurland Gertler & Wente Architects DOESN'T PAY BILLS / DEADBEAT / HIDES FROM CREDITORS New York, New York

These accusations are blatantly false. This was a single claim for non-payment made by one individual contractor against a CLIENT of Kurland Design Group, LLC. Kurland Design Group, LLC, was retained as the designer of the project acting solely as the client's representative and was NOT contractually obligated for payment of any work performed or materials provided. Furthermore, the amount claimed is inflated. (See attached invoice).

Unfortunately, this particular client was extremely dissatisfied with the performance, delayed delivery and quality of the work provided by the claimant and refused to pay the small balance due until the work was corrected and the billing corrected.

Kurland Design Group, LLC, although no longer an active entity in business, has always paid it's bills on time and maintained a positive credit history. The firm ceased operations in 2012.

Scott Kurland, an former employee of the firm, is not and never was reponsible for the obligations of the firm or it's clients.

Lastly, Gertler & Wente, has no connection with this claim, the claimant, Kurland Design Group, LLC or the client whatsoever. They are a separate entity that simply occupied office space with Kurland Design Group, LLC, for a period of time.

Scott Kurland was an employee of Kurland Design Group, LLC., and is and was never personally responsible for any obligations of the firm or the firm's clients.
