I had my design consultation with Mark Paulson and stressed to him the importance of having window coverings that would provide me with the utmost privacy.  I was particularly interested in faux wood blinds with hidden holes for the main living areas in my home and plantation shutters for my bathroom window.   Mark assured me that his products would fulfill my need.

Mark's promise of privacy and quality were not fulfilled.  The blinds installed on my atrium door had a gap and I ended up buying additonal products to ensure no one would be able to see into my living area via the atrium door.

Some of the valances have gaps in the corners so the promise of quality was not fulfilled.

The plantation shutter has gaps that makes it easy for one to see out of during the day and for one to easily see into my bathroom at night.   The shutters are placed above my bathtub and directly across from my sinks so one can understand my need for privacy.

I was told that the shutter was made by Norman Shutter company but when I checked Norman's website the shutters on the website looked different from the one I received.  Additionally the shutter had a hole that Kyle filled with epoxy.  Quality shutters do not have holes and gaps wide enough to allow visibility into a room or out of a room.

Kyle's response to my dilemma was to give me a sob sorry about their business being small and family owned.  He also told me that none of their customers had complained about the quality of their products before and that I should get a gun and install a security system if I was that concerned about my privacy being violated.  He was cold and could have cared less about providing me with good customer service.  He deflected from the real issues which were poor quality of valances and shutters.

Kyle mentioned that if I took my case to small claims court I would lose simply because my order did not mention the word 'privacy'.

This father and son work in tandem.  Mark, the father will make promises about a product and gain your trust.   Kyle is the intimidating enforcer responsible for installation and when the promises his father made during the initial sale are not fulfilled he will intimidate the customer and leave them with a less than satisfactory product.   He has no problem giving a person a sob story about his family business but could care less about the customer's needs.     

I paid for quality products but what I received was not equal to the amount paid.

Consumers  be aware that these people are cunning, will charge you high prices with the arguement that you are getting a quality product.  When promises made aren't fulfilled, their solution is to suggest buying additional product (from them of course) to correct the problem.   When this doesn't work then expect to be stuck with your poor quality product and for them to have no regard for your customer satisfaction.

Mark Paulson did not have any samples for me to see when I made my order but I trusted him.   It was a huge mistake to trust Mark Paulson.
