I ordered a table from these people last month. when i called 3 weeks later to find out where my table was, they told me that my order was being held. this is after they cashed my check.  after another week went by and they still didn't ship my table, i told them to just issue me a refund.  they said they would send out a check right away.  after another week went by, i called to find out where my check was. they said it was sent out in the beginning of the week.  after another week went by, i called again and they said the check was just sent out yesterday.  when i asked for the check information, they told me the check number and the amount. 

 the original purchase price was $366.90.. they said they were only refunding me $230.31.

they said i had to pay a restocking fee of $136.59 for something that never left their warehouse.when i asked to speak with a higher up, i was told that the only person higher was the owner and that he doesn't speak with customers.

 i have filed a report with the bbb. when i explained this to the company, the man on the phone just laughed it off and said he didn't care because he already had my money.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE.  THEY COME OFF VERY NICE UNTIL THEY GET YOUR MONEY THEN THE'RE VERY MEAN AND THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT THE CUSTOMER...THEY ARE A TOTAL RIP-OFF.

FIRST OF ALL, NOTHING HAS BEEN REFUNDED.  SECOND OF ALL, I ORDERED NOTHING FROM YOU IN 2009.  DO YOU HAVE ANY EVIDENCE?  WHERE'S THIS SUPPOSED CHECK YOU ARE REFERRING TO??

I ASKED FOR THIS INFORMATION AND WAS TOLD THAT IT COULD NOT BE PROVIDED...WELL WHY NOT?

YOU PEOPLE PREY ON OTHERS.  I SENT YOU CLEARED FUNDS AND AFTER OVER A MONTH I HAVE RECEIVED NOTHING BUT GRIEF FROM YOU.  YOU CAN EXPECT TO SEE YOUR BAD NAME SMEARED ALL OVER THE PLACE UNTIL I RECEIVE EVERY PENNY BACK.  I WILL HAUNT YOU FOR YEARS TO COME IF THAT'S WHAT IT TAKES TO PROVE MY POINT.I WILL NOT BE RIPPED OFF.  YOU WILL PAY ME BACK.

EVEN IF I HAVE TO WASTE THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS ON LEGAL FEES AND TRAVELING, I WILL DO IT JUST TO SPITE YOU.

AT LE FUENTE IMPORTS YOU STRIVE TO RIP PEOPLE OFF. 

YOU HAD THE TIME TO WRITE A RESPONSE TO MY COMPLAINT ON RIPOFF REPORT, BUT YOU COULDN'T TAKE 5 MINUTES TO TALK TO ME ON THE PHONE...

To Whom it May Concern,

Mr. Schor, the author of the original report, is the type of fraudulent customer every small business like ours dreads.  In April 2009, Mr. Schor placed a furniture order via our website selecting payment by credit card.  The credit card he supplied was invalid and did not process, so he offered to overnight a check.  Two weeks later a credit card transfer check finally arrived but bounced, leaving us to pay the associated bank fees.

Afterward, Mr. Schor stopped responding to our contact attempts.  We suspect he's the sort of unscrupulous individual who hopes a company will accidentally ship merchandise before it's paid for, and while we were lucky not to fall into that trap, in the end we were saddled with sunk costs and wasted time caused entirely by Mr. Schors negligence.

In June 2011, Mr. Schor placed a second furniture order via our website, again selecting payment by credit card.  This credit card was also invalid, and again Mr. Schor offered to send a check.  We quickly realized he was the same person from 2009, as his personal information from both orders including his delivery address, email address, phone number, etc. are all the same, and
our sales manager also recognized his voice.

Being confronted with the balance due from his 2009 order, Mr. Schor became immediately abrasive as well as denying the incident.  He has threatened us with legal action, the police, BBB complaints, and of course authored the report here.  We have since refunded his most recent payment amount, less the restocking fees, and less the original bounced check fees.

At La Fuente Imports we pride ourselves in delivering the best customer service in the rustic furniture business.  We are a minority-owned, small business that treats our customers exceptionally before, during, and after a purchase, to ensure their continued business.  We are also an accredited Better Business Bureau member that has been in business for over 13 years.  We believe the source of Mr. Schors problems are looking back at him in the mirror.
