Ladin Lincoln Mercury of Thousand Oaks has failed to repair issues with our 2006 vehicle we purchased from them and then banned us from the dealership.

After repeated and unsuccessful repair attempts Gary Faga the GM advised us to file a lemon claim and even took me into a locked room and said he does this all the time and said he would help get it started.

During this time the Owner Jim Ladin told me a story of a customer who is married and had purchase a new vehicle from them but after a falling out with his mistress returned the vehicle early to their dealership and wrote a check as he was upside down. He said this man was a past former baseball player who owns a car wash in Simi Valley California. I knew then these guys had no professionalism buy slandering another's good name. Anyway after doing as I was told by the GM Gary Faga who just happens to be married to the finance manger Helen Ladin Faga, who is also the owner's daughter.
Jim Ladin then turned around and banned us from the dealership because we did as he instructed us to do and file a complaint with the BBB. They had a lawyer send us a letter that said we are no longer a customer and threatened us, basically telling us to shut up and go away. They took money from us for a down payment, our trade-in and drew up a fraudulent contract. They also forged a credit application along with DMV records, we have copies. They have lied to the BBB, DMV, and Ford. They also have shared private information with another dealership that refused warranty work.

One of the items they installed voided the Ford factory warranty and they kept trying to get us to remove it so Ford could not find out. We refused as it was the reason we leased the vehicle. They also tampered with the air bags once again against Fords written warnings in the owner's booklet.

This dealer loans out cars to customers to take home and drive at their leisure which is pulled over by the CHP and cited makes the vehicle used. Do a car fax when if your are still intending to use them after reading this. Their mechanics said they wrote over the vehicles computer which wipes out error codes and even the simple act of turning the car on and off causes the error codes to show. They refused to visually inspect the vehicle as they said it needed to show an error code on the computer before they would do anything as Ford warned them not to touch it. Charlie the service manager told us to buy another car and park this one if we are that worried about its safety and we did. He said that's why you have insurance. He also shared some inside info on the recall that caused fires on Ford trucks and laughed.
This dealer will most likely be fined and or closed in the near future by the DMV as the fraud they committed with paperwork surprises even me who has purchased many a car from dealers in my many years of driving.
Also note that if you cycle a vehicle on and off 20 times the error code will go away. Heat up and cool down.

I welcome any media that would like to speak more about what I have uncovered as there just is to much to write about this entire experience. It also may very well be the reason Ford Motor Company had fallen to 4th.

Please do not use this dealership as there are others who are much more honest and you don't have to deal with a service advisor who smells of alcohol no matter what time you visit him. Even his co writer complained to me about this person about it.

This is a dealership whose time has come to an endThey are selling Hyundai's now too. This is a fmily owned and operated business and brings back the stereotypical Used car salesman reputation to a new car dealer. If you are famous remember they will blab about your personal life to make a dealThey don't care about discretion.
