On December 17, 2010 I made a purchase after much debate with the company representing itself as Lance Shapiro's Judgment Recovery Training Course. The payment cleared my bank on December 20, 2010. In the meantime, the daily coursework that was coming to my mail account ended without any warning after Day 5 when I made the purchase. I tried to send them a message and found that my subscription had been cancelled. I did not unsubscribe and wrote them several notes asking what happened and when my package would arrive. NO RESPONSES ever came from them.

I then went through the process of signing up again and getting the messages to my email again. They continued to market me as though they did not have my email on file. I continued to send emails to them without anyone returning messages. I looked up the number that was listed through PayPal, where I used my bank debit card, and called it I have left two messages. One nice message with my information to return a call and one not so nice message when I began to research them and found out they were considered a scam.

I am furious and want my money back, $129.97. They took my money 5 days before Christmas and I am a single mother who is desperately trying to find a good legitimate business to run from home so I can support my children.

If you were to look up his advertisements, for all practical purposes, they look professional and from the heart of someone who struggled trying other avenues himself. He boasts many testimonials and years of in depth experiences that made me believe he was truly a company I could count on to get my essential training and start in the field of Legal Judgment Recovery. Please help me or advise what I can do.

Thank you.

Customer Received Full Refund

AUTHOR: Lance - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, February 26, 2011

In regards the the complaint file by Rita L. Richards
from Nebraska, once a customer makes a purchase
we automatically discontinue the free online course
information.

This is because the 'hard copy' training course the
customer receives by mail supersedes the online
training course materials.

In any event, we did not 'take' Ms. Richards money as
she claims. She made a purchase and did in fact receive
her hard copy course.

She opted for a refund and received it voluntarily from
my company, once the training materials were returned.

My company has been doing business online since
1999 and we always honor our 90 guarantee.

Sincerely,

Lance Shapiro
Legal Revenue Service

Yay, money refunded and the US Postal Inspectors are investigating these scoundrels!!!

I contacted PayPal after 10 days not receiving the promised online link, northe package containing the promised materials that I paid for. They referred me to the FBI online fraud link where I filed a detailed report. I further called the US Postal line and left a detailed message as well as forwarded all the information FBI online fraud received.

In my report I had proof of other complaintants and history to include in this detailed scam these calculated predators are running throughout the Internet. They have PAGES AND PAGES of links for unsuspecting people to link to them and be funneled. It is unfair they can't work like the rest of us do with legitamate sources or income rather than attaching themselves to us as underbelly income leaches.

Fortunately, these scammers went through PayPal. Once I contacted PayPal, they went to work on my behalf. They demanded the paid company submit a valid tracking code within 10 days. Funny thing...though I could not get a response from the company through email or the phone, they immediately provided PayPal with atracking code less than an hour after PayPal contacted them. Hmmmm, what about that?

The tracking code was not confirmed via PayPal so they kept the investigation open. They advised me to refuse the package if or when it arrived, if I was not interested in further entrusting the company. To my surprise the mailman showed up at my door on January 3, 2011 with the package, which I refused. On January 4, 2011 the money $129.97 was credited back to my bank account.

These timelines and false promises remain unacceptable to me. There has NEVER been a link forwarded to me for the online coursework. I attribute that tothe open complaints I have seen regarding consumers who did view those files and concluded the material was reproduced from other sources and not superior information to build this business upon. Therefore, rather than losing more clients before they get the slanted conditions contained in the printed material, they simply ignore that part of their promises and all follow up attempts to be contacted.

Final factual point, they continue to send me marketing material, but have NEVER returned a direct email or phone call to bridge this problem or address their validity. They are theives in my opinion, but praise God that PayPal is a standup valid company who protects their consumers. The is the only good point about the experience in dealing with this company that tried to rip me off.

You should see what their money back conditions entail! No one has a chance to recover with the stipulations they have mandated as conditional return policy.

So BEWARE! Anything with the name LANCE SHAPIRO, LRS Publishing or any of the other associated links to the PO Box in Littlerock CA are fraudulent products according to my research and this is my opinion as my records can verify.

I am so pleased that I recovered my money!!! How rare that is these days.

..is to avoid these "work at home" scams. They have been around forever, well before the internet when they advertised in magazines and newspapers.. EACH and EVERY one of them, is and always has been, a scam.

As far as recourse..best bet is to try to do a charge back. If you are lucky the bank will take your side.

I know times are hard and those needing a means for extra income are most vulnerable..but you must realize this is what makes you easy prey. Never pay anyone a dime unless you conduct extensive research to determine if the company is legit.

For the record..the first red light is usually found on the websites. For example if you go to the web addresses listed and click on "contact us"..the only addresses are a P.O. box. Why would any legit business only have a PO box for an address on their website? If you submit account information to something like this, it is not much different then flushing your money down the toilet.
