Such a sad story
AUTHOR: DAVE SMITH - (USA)
SUBMITTED: Friday, March 31, 2017
I've been shopping at that store for over 20 years. I never had any issues there with any of the employees or owners. What I have seen are some customer's that are just outright crazy. Cursing, making physical and verbal threats, and excuses why they don't have ID to provide to the clerk to purchase alcohol. It's the law and it's sad that some people act like that because they couldn't get what they wanted. It's almost like children throwing temper tantrums. I've seen them first hand kick those customers out and they have every right to. No one working in any job anywhere should be subjected to that kind of abuse by a customer just because the customer is spending money. Racism..where can I start..first let me say this..its very sad that racism is thrown in here..these people are not racist at this store..they donate and make contributions to the black community in which I shop and live in. I know this for a fact because my niece played for the Largo High School girl's softball team and Largo Liquors donated money so the girls could have new equipment they needed. We should support our local neighborhood stores because if they care about the community we should support them. They also have black people working there as well as Whites and Hispanics. Everyone working there has been great and helpful. It's the neighborhood store and it serves it's purpose. How can one say these people are racist? It seems like racism and the word racist is thrown into every discussion as a means to win an argument. There is no validation of that at this store. As a black man myself I can't stand for my black people to say those things if they're untrue because it makes all of us look so dumb! Prince George's County is a great county and a sense of accomplishment for the black people in this country. Yet you forget to mention that it is also high in crime..second to Baltimore city..has the worst school system in the state. Highest foreclosure rate in the state..but that's fine..it's a work in progress..i truly feel sorry for the individual who wrote this negative smear review of this great neighborhood store. It's seems they tried to use the race card to hurt this store and the people working there because they didn't get what they wanted..and what else is a good way to hurt someone than use the race card in this country. How one can conclude that people are racist because they don't take the b.s. of ignorant people's remarks or actions and not get served at a liquor store..so sad and sad for all blacks trying to better themselves and social image of blacks in this country. Next time you say people are racist have valid proof..you sound ignorant, just plain stupid and you hide behind the internet.
