You should be able to cancel that bogus warranty

AUTHOR: FloridaNative - (USA)

That warranty needs to be cancelled right away. They say "no" to you to discourage cancellation. But if you read your contract it most likely says the warranty is optional.  I have never seen a written contract where it is mandatory.  Cancel it now and get a refund for the unused portion of the warranty. It will be a credit to your outstanding loan balance, but it will save you a ton of interest if you cancel it now. By the way, it is typical for the finance person to lie about the warranty because they get a commission on the warranty when they sell one - so they tell you they can't take it off the contract. Don't believe the finance person.  Make sure you make your demand in writing too so you have a papertrail.

If the dealership is uncoorperative, report them to the CFPB and any other agency that can help you.
