Lastmans BadBoy Furniture sold me an extra warranty that they said I needed if I wanted to make sure my t.v was replaced after(God forbid) 3 visits from a repair man.
( called "no lemons guarantee) ...see "solid gold protection plan"
...Well I have had 3 visits now and they refuse to honour the "solid Gold Warranty" I bought for an extra $199.99 suggesting its samsungs problem.
(this was 2 months ago)
...Then, finally, today after chasing these clowns down on the phone again I was told that samsung has finally agreed to step up to the plate and replace my t.v. .......thank you samsung.
...However this still leaves me ripped off for $199.99 as I clearly did not need this warranty and the sales rep and on duty manager knew this(..as he knocked $49. off the price of bogus warranty), ...the salesman just musta crossed his fingers hopeing the t.v was fine and I would never know that I did not need this warranty.
This is the scam ...If your T.V comes with a Warranty from the manufacturer ..then you don't need the extra "Solid Gold Protection Plan"
... And if you have problems they just tell you that its covered by the first warranty and avoid you!!!
...I have demanded that I be refunded the $199.99 by Lastmans BadBoy Furniture and they refused. The manager simply laughed and said "are you done?" when I spoke of the unbeliveably bogus treatment I have recieved from customer service, repair men and from the likes of him. I look forward to hearing that the london location is closing its doors, as I promised the manager that there is such a thing as bad publicity. I also want to prevent other people from becoming a victim of this scam.

My comments may appear to be "squeaky clean" but all I can say is they are true and even I was surprised at the great customer service, however that is exactly what I got GREAT service.

I AM SORRY TO HEAR OF YOUR UNFORTUNATE INCIDIDENT HOWEVER I FEEL I JUST HAVE TO LET EVERYONE KNOW MY BAD BOY EXPERIENCE. I PURCHASED A 60" PHILLIPS TV FROM BAD BOY IN LONDON ONTARIO IN AUGUST 2007. LAST FRIDAY MAY 27TH 2011 MY TV STOPPED WORKING, I CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICE AROUND 5PM AND WAS TOLD BY AN EXTREMELY POLITE PERSON WHO ANSWERED RIGHT AWAY THAT MY INFORMATION WOULD BE FORWARDED TO ADVANCE AUDIO IN LONDON. ON MONDAY AT 9.30 AM I WAS TOLD A REPAIR PERSON WOULD BE AT MY HOME BETWEEN 1 & 2 PM HE CALLED ASKING IF IT WAS OK TO COME AT 12.30. HE CHECKED MY TV AND SAID A REPORT WOULD BE FORWARDED THE NEXT DAY TO BAD BOY. I CALLED ADVANCE ON TUESDAY MORNING AND WAS TOLD THAT BAD BOY WOULD HAVE THE INFORMATION BY 2PM. I CALLED BAD BOY AT 2.05PM SAME DAY, THE CALL AGAIN WAS ANSWERED RIGHT AWAY, I WAS ASKED TO HOLD WHICH I DID FOR LESS THAN A MINUTE AND WAS TOLD THAT DUE TO THE HIGH COST OF THE REPAIR AND HAVING THE SOLID GOLD 60 MONTH WARRANTY THEY WOULD BE HAPPY TO REPLACE MY TV. THE NEXT DAY WEDNESDAY I WENT WITH MY SONS TO SELECT A NEW TV. I FOUND BOTH THE SALESPERSON AND THE MANAGER TO BE EXTREMELY HELPFUL AND POLITE. I WAS TOLD THAT IF DELIVERY WAS NOT MADE BY 9.30 THURSDAY MORNING TO CALL AND THEY WOULD GIVE ME A TWO HOUR WINDOW. MY ORIGINAL WARRANTY COST ONLY 199.00 AND AS YOU CAN SEE WAS GREAT VALUE. I AGAIN PURCHASED A 60 MONTH WARRANTY THIS TIME FOR 299.00 AS I PURCHASED A PLASMA TV. I WAS CREDITED EVERY DOLLAR I PAID FOR THE ORIGINAL PURCHASE PLUS THE TAX IN ALL I ONLY PAID $70.00 AS I ALSO PURCHASED A TV STAND. I HAVE NEVER HAD SUCH GREAT SERVICE AND WILL NOT HESITATE TO TELL MY STORY TO EVERYONE. I DID MENTION THE COMPLAINT I HAD SEEN HERE ONLINE AND SINCE THAT TIME THE STORE HAS A NEW MANAGER. PLEASE GIVE BAD BOY A CHANCE AS YOU CAN SEE IT REALLY PAID OFF FOR ME.
