I am disabled and trying to find a way to support myself and went to a grant assist web sight for help in achieving these goals. I paid 2.98 for a cd that is supposed to give you the information you need to apply for a grant to make it possible to go to school. I never got the cd and then a week later they took  58.53 off my debit card without authorization. I had to close my account and file an afadavit to try and get my money back. I saw other complaints on this web sight, why don't they shut them down. They make it seem like its a government web sight .

The fees associated with these scams are monthly.

A family "friend" borrowed my dad's credit card and, as it turns out, signed up for two of these scams.  When I saw the charges, I disputed them.  The company did not fight it.

Two other things:

1)  There are no government grants to individuals to pay bills.  Period.

2)  Never use a debit card online.  Only use a credit card.  The protections are greater.

Good luck.
