I sent a check for $24.95 for 1 book that my daughters poem titled 'Toy Boat' would be published in their new anthology. They stated that this anthology is a collection of their better works. The check was cashed but I have not received the item and there is now way to contact them. They are a scam!!

They wanted me to pay to publish a "winning" poem of my daughters. Hmm, I think not. A real publisher pays the author, not the other way around.

My daughter finally received her book in the mail in Mid March 2008. There was no invoice, letter or additional paperwork in the envelope .. just the book. I do no plan to ever order anything from this company again.

League Of American Poets (poetry.com) I paid them for 3 books and they said the check never cleared. I got a run around when I called to get it straightened out. I left a message on the voicemail for the manager but i have not heard back yet. My daughter certainly thought this was an honor to have her poem selected but when the same thing happened to me and my son, we started to get suspicious. I hope these folks go to jail.
