Lehigh Moving And Storage Lehigh Movers and Storage stole my Furniture in name of Lost Bronx New York

Hi,
I purchased (31st May 2005) a service from Lehigh Movers to move my furniture from Chicago to Sanjose,CA. They promised it will be delivered within 2 weeks (15th June 2005). It didn't arrive by 2 weeks.

After 15th June 2005 I called them and asked for delivery. Talked to Yifat and she promised it will be delivered in 4 days. But it never arrived within 4 days. So I called them every morning, afternoon and evening for the delivery. Finally it arrived on 27th June 2005.

There were 81 items out of that 21 items were missing (LOST). Those were all big items i.e.

1. Cal. King Mattress with Stand
2. Queen Mattress with Box Spring
3. 2 Dinning Table Chairs
4. Rocking chair
5. 2 Small Box
6. 2 Medium Box
7. 1 Large Box
8. 4 Balcony Chairs
9. Fan
10. Shopping Cart
11. Indoor Palm Tree($100)
12. Two Tall Lamps
13. Marriage Albums
etc
I lost all my medical records, Mattress,important books, shoes,SLR Camera, electronic items etc..

Also as per the contract there was no delivery charge. The delivery guy (Assaf) demanded $150 in cash otherwise there will be no delivery. As items were missing I called Yifat and she promised it will be delivered soon. I continued calling her everyday and many a times I was told she is not there or I was put in hold for long time (30 minutes) finally I have to hang up. They were rude and when I ask for the missing item they used to cut the connection. One fine day Yifat rudely told to contact Claims. I told her(Yifat) I will go to Better Business Bureau for missing items she told me "if that makes you happy please go ahead".

Tried to contact the Manager (Roy), but its very difficult to talk to him.

I was given promise to receive a call form Roy but I never received a call form him (Roy).I talked 2/3 times with Roy and he gave me all false promises.

I wonder how a mover can lost all the big and important items.
