leverco limited service not provided Internet

this company purports to privide a service whereby a DVD player can be unlocked from a single Region lock. for example my player will play only Region 1 DVDs.

after giving me a list of DVD models, including mine, for which service was available, and collecting a fee thru paypal, they led me thru a few steps. at the end my DVD model was not on their actual service sub-list and they provided no service.

my experience was similar to that of the person who complained here in March, 2014. like many sites one finds on the ionternet, this one seems to be bogus. the money involved was not much, and i will get it back, but it would be nice if companies like this could be shut down.
