Liberty Capital Group on Balboa ave in San Diego CA sent me a credit card to activate.  I did not initiate any credit card application from them.  It came to me out of the blue in the postal mail.  I have no interest in activating this card.

The advertisement referenced is a promotional marketing piece. The reverse of the card attached states that it is not a credit card. Number on card is identified as "Membership Number," not an account number. The marketing piece presents itself as a promotional prequalification. "Pre-qualification" parameters or selection for marketing vary and are not limited to lead databases with certain SIC codes, past borrowing history, etc. Activation implies that the recipient is interested in applying for financing rather than releasing credit. When a recipient references the number on the card they are sent to an application form. Efforts have been made to locate the person who made post but, no identifiable information was left in order for us to get in contact. Please feel free to contact us if you require further assistance or to have yourself removed from future marketing campaigns.
